Booked our May 2009 Trip!!!

Just wanted to share the good news! After finally debating whether we should go in March AND May, I finally decided that we could afford one trip right now...and since I'm planning this DL trip around the Bug-In in Fontana on May 3rd, May seemed like the better month.

So I just booked our trip...flying into LGB...5/2 to 5/8...staying at the Camelot (again)...renting a car (haven't done that yet...will do so thru priceline)...we'll be going to Knotts one day...i'm getting excited!

now that this trip has been booked, time to start planning our september trip! whoo-hooo!!!!

congrats on booking ...we are there almost the same dates...we will fly in on may 2nd and fly out on the 12th...i have booked the HOJO but am still waiting for airfare to drop a little more...(we are in canada)...am just about ready to order my free passes from airmiles-5 day hoppers ...here's hoping for great weather and low crowds...

We're going May 3-9 and staying at the GCH. Can't wait. We usually go in Dec/Jan so I'm excited to be there when the weather is warmer so we can take a break from the parks and enjoy the pools! I still haven't been on Grizzly River Run because it was always too cold (although last trip my DH and I had a few hours to ourselves and went on Splash Mountain 4 times in a row in the rain and were soaked!)

i'm getting more and more excited everyday! my 2 year old keeps asking to go to "did-neyland"...so cute!

i'm hoping the weather will still be a bit cool (not summer-hot)...and the crowds low especially since we'll be going to the parks on weekdays.

We'll be there May 7 - 10 and just finished all our booking details! Its so exciting when that happens because it finally feel so real!

Not quite sure if we are definately going or not yet, but my daughter (16) and I are thinking of doing a mother daughter trip, kind of an early bday present for her, she turns 17 in June, but we would be going Memorial Day week sometime, probably the 27th or so. I'm looking into prices of hotels now, is it cheaper to go with a package? I want to stay somewhere that has transportation, since we won't be renting a car. We don't need airfare, we have miles that we will be turning in. Thanks for your help!

It's not normally cheaper to go with a package but it is easier. Stay on Harbor (between Katella and I5) and you will be able to walk to and from the parks. There are a few links stickied that have hotel info. My favorites are the HoJo, Tropicana, Candy Cane Inn.

So i have lurked in the shadows of the DISboards for FAR too long now...years... And i finally get to plan a trip to DL! We (ME and DF ) are going May 9th-16th 2009! for our Honeymoon! <3 Any suggestions on specific things we should make sure to do/see? We are definately going to get our ears and buttons! I am SO excited! Hope to catch maybe a couple of ya there!

I too have been looking forward to ordering our Parkhoppers with airmiles. However, their current deal for adults expire April 31st! This coincides with the everyone plays for a childs price promo they have going on. The tickets are good until may 13th (I believe) as long as you have used the first day prior may 1st. Hopefully Airmiles will get around to getting the regular adult tickets available soon. Don't want to wait too long...

We have been talking about it for months but I booked the airline tickets the other day so it makes it official!
We are going from May 8th to the 23rd.
I am going to get to spend Mother's Day in Disneyland and my daughter will be celebrating her 11th birthday on the 20th!
She is already thinking about what she will spend her "fun card" on!
I love Disneyland in May with all the beautiful spring flowers!
