Booked our Flight!

My wife called me in a panic yesterday morning. At first I thought "oh no, something bad has happened". But I was wrong. The flights that we wanted to take into and out of Orlando were down to $178, round trip and non-stop on Midwest Airlines (our "hometown" airline). When I checked on Monday, they were at $228. So we decided to take advantage of it. Now we are just holding our breath, hoping the hostile takeover bid by AirTran doesn't go through.

Congrats on your ticket purchase! That's all DH and I have right now, too...our plane tickets. We're flying out of Podunkville, PA so we have one stop through Philly, but we got great prices for flying out of such a small (but uber-convenient) airport.

We're torn now between deciding between WL and AKL for our resort.

I wish are flights would go back down. I have been checking them for about 2 weeks now since we just booked our room 2 weeks ago. American and Airtran seem to be the cheapest. We are flying out of Saint Louis. When I first started pricing the cheapest I could find for us 2 round trip was $355 non-stop which to me is a really good price. The last time I seen that price I believe was last Thurday or friday during the day. Of course I procrastinate and that exact same flight is now $535 if you purchase it durning the day or in the eveing when I check at home it has been $750!!! It has been a week since it has been 355 so I'm thinking it is not going to be that low again. So now the next cheapest flight I could find is 375 with one stop on the way there in Chicago. I guess I should probably go ahead and buy those tickets before they go up!

Remember to remove cookies from your computer before rechecking prices! I just read about this and it can prevent really cheap flight prices from coming up. I just booked our airfare yesterday and that really starts to make it all seem so real. We are staying at Saratoga Springs this time and usually stay at the Wilderness Lodge (couldn't get what we wanted there this time). Good luck with your trip
