and now I have a question...figures...LOL

I booked the Royal Swim (with the Dolphins) through Shoretrips.com, today it was confirmed that my reservations are booked...YEAH!!!

Anyway, my question is...one the vouchers that I had to print off, it says: It's important that you check the "ship time" vs. the "local time." Our tours are scheduled on "local island time."

I know that we will be in Cozumel from 10:30 am to 11:00 pm, I booked our Royal Swim for 2:00 pm.

Is this all considered local island time or do I have to call and rearrange my reservations??

Please advise! And Thanks so much in Advance!!

The Magic changes its clock during the course of the trip to account for local time. Not all lines do so, although most do now, I think. There was a time when the ship's clock remained constant, and it often differed from the time in port, especially during Daylight Saving Time, which isn't observed in a lot of the ports in the Caribbean. When the clock is changed varies depending on which itinerary and what time of year, but port time and ship's time will be the same on the Magic.

Dave's page explains it better than I just did:

Thanks so much for your reply Lloyd, that helps!

After making some phone calls yesterday, I think I have found my way out of the "time maze" I was stuck in ;)

Ships time always is local time. Be sure to change your watches whenever your room steward tells you to. One of the stations on the TV has the current ship (and local) time.

If you don't change you watch you may be late for the ship (eastern) or "too early" (western). And remember - you don't want to miss the ship!!
