Hi-

DH and I just booked a 3-night/3-day trip for next weekend (Thurs - Sun) at the Poly, lagoon view. Celebrating several things -
1) Our 2-year anniversary (married at WDW at Sunset Pointe on Jan 27, 2001)
2) I am officially halfway done with chemotherapy for breast cancer - young survivors (and not-so-young survivors) UNITE!!

TOTAL impulse decision, but I am so happy about it - we can really use the getaway right now!! Now - the question I am really wondering about - do they sell Mickey scarves for my head? LOL!!

Anyone going to be around then? If so - and you see a crazy 30-ish chick wearing a scarf on her head and getting in line for RnRC again and again, please say hello!!

Go and have a lot of fun!!!!!!!

Buy a nice cute Minnie Mouse hat or something-they have tons to choose from and I think you may finds a scarf somewhere.

Go again after you finish the rest of your chemo!!!!!!!!

HAVE FUN

2vets,

Hope you have a blast. I second that, go again when you finish your chemo. I have a lot of admiration for you. Wishing you lots of pixie dust.

P.S. I don't think you'll have a problem finding any hats or scarves. Check out the "Mad Hatter" ( I think that's what it was called). They have just about every kid of hat you could want. I think It's by Cinderella's Carousel in the MK.

Hi, 2Vets, and congratulations on both of your celebrations!

Are you going this coming weekend, or the following? If this one, it sounds like we'll be there the same time you are!

I haven't found a lime green ribbon, but DH and I are late forties, DH has long hair he wears in a braid, and our favorite WDW commando uniform involves matching lime green WDW T-shirts with Mickey embroidered on the front.

If we don't see you, have a blast!!!! I know we will!

2vets,

I hope you and dh have a Magical Trip!!

You are in my thoughts & prayers :o

May God Bless You!!

Darn!! Too bad we'll miss you guys - but have a great time, and warm up those roller coasters for us!!! LOL - WDW "commando" gear!!!

Oh, that is too bad, one of these days we'll meet some fellow DISers.

Yes, we will definitely warm up the RnRC for you. Even better, it looks like the FL temps are getting back to normal. Let's hope it continues, though after this New England freeze, even 50 will feel just wonderful!!!

I hope to post a trip report very quickly, so stay tuned!

:Pinkbounc HIP HIP HOORAY for your celebrations!! :Pinkbounc

2vets - I'll be there the 7-10th with DH & another couple. We're all looking forward to riding the RnR again. I'll definitely look for you!!

I agree with checking out Mad Hatter - they have everything there. But, why only a scarf??? Go for the light up Mickey Sorcerer hat :teeth: - you have lots to celebrate and be thankful for!!! (and I would definitely plan a trip for when chemo is complete!)

Prayers and pixie dust for a wonderful vacation.

Colette

Hi 2vets---
As a fellow breast cancer survivor and Bay Stater I wish you the most magical of vacations. I went on my first trip to WDW in quite a few years when I had finished treatments (I'm four years out.) It was the best vacation I have ever had. I've been back since (going again in a couple of weeks) but nothing will ever match the magic of that vacation. Definitely have fun now and go back when your chemo is over. Peace :sunny:

Hi again 2vets--
In addition to being a fellow survivor and Bay Stater I just reread your post and realized that you were married on my birthday--January 27th--It truly is a small world after all!!

Peace:sunny:

We'll just miss you!!! We will be at the Poly (gv) on the Feb. 1, 2, and 3rd, but I wanted to wish you well and HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!!! Enjoy.

Mrs. Snowgod.....maybe we'll run into each other. I'll look for you. My DH and I are in our late 20's with a 2 yo, but I have no idea how you would recognize us. I'll be 5 months pregnant, but I'm not really showing yet (depends on how much or little clothes I'll need to be wearing while down there.....LOL).

Maybe I'll have to hunt up some lime green ribbon.

Collette - Judging from my the lively sense of humor posessed by both my husband and sister (who will likely join us), I will almost certainly end up becoming the "model" for any ridiculous and silly piece of headgear they can find... Gotta laugh, right?

Cookie - Too bad we will miss you - one of the bright sides of this journey is meeting all the other inspirational women out there who are living with and BEATING this horrible disease. I will be sure to think of your 4 years (and how fortunate I am to have a good prognosis)... and take all that joy and have a BLAST. And don't worry - as soon as I have some sprouts of hair, I will be planning another trip...cost be darned!!!

Thanks to all of you for your wonderful support!

Hi 2vets. Wishing you a magical vacation and continued success with your chemotherapy and prognosis!
