booked my trip through disney-do they usually send documents?

okay, so I booked directly with Disney this time. In the past I have booked through AAA. With AAA I received a package before I left for my trip-with some coupons and confimations, etc... I was told by Disney I wouldn't receive anything in the mail before I left. I have an email saying I am paid in full only. Since we are not using magical express I was told they dont' need to send me anything. Does that sound right? It just makes me nervous to go with nothing in writing. (well, I can print out the emails) Was just wondering what you all thought?

We usually book our ressies through Disney, and they've always sent us a packet. With luggage tags, resort details, maps or brochures. Then when you check-in they'll give you more detailed things. KTTW card, vouchers for activities, etc. But with your booking you should have received a confirmation number, in which you can log on to Disney.go.com and look and print out your reservation details.

Thats disappointing I'm not using ME either when I go in Aug but was still hoping for the luggage tags to use on the bags in case I use Bell services

If you booked a package, even without ME, you should be receiving Mickey-Mail fairly soon including luggage tags for each member of your party. I'd give it a week or so.

2 - did you book a package with tickets or room only? Room only reservations will only receive Magical Express, if you are using it.

1. My trip is the beginning of December. I booked in May, just paid my balance though.

2. I booked a package, used a 40% pin code for the room, but got the whole package, tickets and dining.

I guess I will wait and see or maybe call at the end of this week to ask about anything they may send. I also like the tags, but I think I still have them on my luggage from the last trip.

OK.. I was wondering the same thing. We are going for Thanksgiving and we paid before the 45 day mark. I also got our MVMCP tickets the same day I paid off the trip. I could of sworn the CM said my MVMCP tickets would be mailed out within 10 business days but my others wouldn't be sent until after the 45 day mark. I did get our ME stuff but that is just the luggage tags..I was wondering where my "others" were

Package documents usually arrive about 3 weeks before travel, Magical Express usually a little before that.

Since you can cancel without penalty before 45 days, and that is when final payment is due, they wait until you are inside that to send the documents.

We usually get our documents that include the luggage tag, vouchers, and the synopsis of our reservation at about the 30 day mark. And now we dont use ME, but it is a package.

I am not sure who at Disney would tell you that you wouldn't get anything...maybe they meant something right then only.

thanks again all. That makes more sense. I am not sure why she said that. She sounded a bit sick, it was after 9 and I think she was tired. She actually sounded a bit annoyed that I wasn't using ME and that I was renting a car from the airport and not MK, but I just assume it was a long day/night for her. We are all human after all. the rest of the conversation was very pleasant. I was never upset just a bit confused. I knew I could find the answer here, as I always do so I never worry.
