Booked My First DVC Trip

Well, I took the plunge in August and bought into the DVC at Saratoga Springs.... Now, here we are in November, and I just booked my first trip.... October 12-18, 2008..... A 1 bedroom villa at Saratoga Springs.... I am going to book a few extra days... I really want to stay at a resort other than my home resort, but, I am still going to book those few days at SSR just incase the other resort is all booked up....

So, WDW, here I come... My first trip as a DVC member!!!!

It was awesome booking my first DVC trip... Hope I have many more... LOL

I, too, just recently used our DVC for reservations for the first time. We bought at SSR this past August and are visiting OKW this February, as we got the most bang for our buck with 5 in our family and choosing that resort.

Then, I splurged to the MAXXX today and booked a Grand Villa at SSR for just the night of October 18, 2008! We will be the family of 6 (new arrival due in June) who all will be dragging big time, as we will be fresh off of the 7 Night DCL Magic trip...We are also staying in a 2BR at SSR the two nights before the cruise leaves, as well...With such a big trip planned and a new baby, we do not plan on visiting WDW again before our points expire in Feb 2009, so we splurged and used all we had left and booked the 3 BR Grand Villa...CANNOT WAIT!! Maybe we will see you at SSR!

Congrats on booking your first trip! SSR is fabulous. The only warning I could see for your time frame is that it is during the Food & Wine festival so if you are hoping to get BWV or BCV it may be more difficult. If you want one of those you may think about booking day by day at the 7 month window and waitlisting if it is not available.

The other resorts I thought about were Animal Kingdom Lodge or Old Key West... I still may consider changing SSR to OKW though.... I just wanted to make sure I had at least 1 week booked for certain....
