Hi there. Wonder if someone could answer a few questions for me. Weve booked to stay at Caribbean Beach for two weeks in Sept 08 and im wondering whether the DDP is worth it for myself and my two sons who will be 18 and 14. Ive tried to read as much as i can about this plan but still unsure about whether you are meant to book your meals in advance. And is there any restriction on the usual restaurants (not the character meals or 'posh' places). I mean is there places the DDP isnt to be used.
Also can anyone whose recently been the the CBR tell me if its still a good place to stay. I went there last in 2004 so its been a while!! In 2005 we went to POR - will i notice a difference?
I believe there is a Goodings near DTD. If i used disney bus to DTD could i walk to the supermarket - if so how long and does anyone have directions.
Finally - famous last words!! - i have booked with Thomson with the premium seats - any comments on service, seats etc gratefully received.:thumbsup2

For us the DDP worked out as a more cost effective way or purchasing our dining. What you need to consider is where you are likely to eat and the rough cost of each meal and then balance it against what the DDP will cost you. If you are planning to eat mainly within WDW then I suspect that it will work out well for you, especially as you have two hungry teenage boys to feed :)

You don't need to make ADR's for everywhere you want to eat whether you are on the Dining Plan or not but it really is advised if you want to make sure that you are able to eat in the restaurants that you want to. Otherwise you will most probably find that they are full when you get there and you then will have to spend ages searching around for an alternative.

Most Table Service locations allow you to dine using your DDP credits, the signature restaurants take 2 as you probably know. The list of counter service locations seems to be constantly changing though

There is a ton of information on this over on the restaurants board and plenty of very knowledgable folk who would be more than willing to answer your questions in loads of detail if you are interested :)

I'm sorry I can't really help you with the rest of your questions.

Hi, I cant add much regarding the DDP although we do find that as we eat in disney every day it does save us $$'s.

CBR is lovely, we stayed there last year for a week before moving to AKL for the 2nd week.

I really enjoyed The relaxing amosphere but the pool was very cold :scared1:

Thanks for the information. Nice to see this place is just as friendly as the last time i visited!! I will go check out all the information as suggested.
