After looking at the flights for weeks (ever since we came back !) have finally booked with complete orlando
BA flights 7th-21st August(prices better today )
2 weeks OKW studio (couldnt justify the cost of a 1 bed this year )
disney and universal combo ticket
dining plan

Loved SSR this year but decided we fancied a change rather than just recreating this years holiday so have gone for OKW, hope we like it
So excited about planning and booking ADRs again !:cool1

need to update my ticker when I can remember how :)

That has to be the best feeling - second only to actually arriving there! Well done! It will be nice to experience a different resort. I think that is also part of the Disney experience - finding out for yourself what each has to offer.

Happy planning.

Great news.
We will be at OKW 5th-21st (if I ever book it:goodvibes) All week been planning meals yet I still haven't booked the hotel:rotfl:
Then onto the cruise for more food:goodvibes

ohhhh i see another dismeet coming...shame i wont be there :sad2:

well done and happy planning. You will love OKW. I had a look at the new renovated rooms on youtube and they look lovely.LOved AKL but need a one bedroom as DM coming so it looks like OKW. Stayed there before a really liked it.Preferred it to SSR.

Happy planning! :cool1: Hopefully see you at a Dismeet :goodvibes

I thought i'd join you- just took the plunge and booked our honeymoon for August next year 16-30th. Had been toying with hanging on for price to drop, but with the miles plus money economy out, PE back it seemed worthwhile booking. POFQ for us. Can't wait to introduce my lovely man to WDW!!!!!!

We are staying at POFQ also, 21 Aug - 3 Sep. Flying out in economy back in PE. Stayed at POR this Aug, had a look at POFQ the pool was lovely and my daughters and I loved the beignets, cant wait!!!

Marl- glad you had a lovely time this year at POR- how did you find the weather? I've never been in August, on purpose!!!! That's what you get for marrying a teacher! Well if you see a honeymoony happy couple feel free to wave :)

Weather in August - Take or buy ponchos we needed them for quite a few days during our 16 nights there, not ALL day though. Never needed a cardigan or cover up, it is really hot and humid, some air conditioned buildings can feel really cold though. Went in Aug previous year and was a little worried about weather, but it didn't bother us and you can't beat a swim at 10pm after a busy day in the parks, then being able to sit around the pool to dry off in the dark with a drink in hand and not feeling cold.
During the day we did use a few snack credits to share frozen drinks (couldn't have managed a whole one myself, plus better to have little and often) they were fantastic at cooling us down.
My 2 DDs are water babies so we'll be around the pool at least once every day so I'll keep a look out for you!
