For those of you flying for only the 5 - 7 days of President's Week, this probably won't help you much. But...if you are extending your trip or can juggle dates, this may be of interest.
1. If you can fly out of Boston on Tuesday the 13th, Delta has flights for $94 each to MCO.
2. If you need to fly home on the 24th and are willing to drive to FLL, last check Airtran had a nonstop flight for $89 each. The same flight from MCO was $234 when I last looked.
We are going for almost 12 days and I just booked our tickets for $229 each round trip non-stop. Since there are 5 of us, I was thrilled with this price!!
We fly out of Boston on the evening of Feb. 13th on Jet Blue for $119 each and then home from Ft. Lauderdale on the 24th for ....only $89 each on Airtran!!. We were thinking of visiting my mil in Delray Beach for a few days at the end of our trip so this works out perfect. She is under 30 minutes to the airport.
I think the rates will continue to jump around a bit but, I figured this worked great for us.
Oh yeah...the car rental is actually $30 cheaper from Dollar than I originally booked - and this is with adding a day and dropping off in another city. I rented a full size for 12 days for $365 - taxes included.
(I'll keep playing with those rates)
I realize most people can't go this long, but thought the info about Delta's flight on the 13th and Airtran's flight on the 24th might help someone.
Good luck to all of you who are still hunting!!

PS. Would anyone know a reasonably priced hotel in FLL? I can stay free at my mil's, but we may prefer our own space. Something near or on the beach would be awesome. But...not too expensive. Thanks!!!
