I hope it is worth the 2 dining points!

We are going in mid November (only booked a few weeks ago... sort of last minute plan), so we were limited on our options.

We got Tutto Italia
Kona Cafe (wanted Ohanas)
Coral Reef
Brown Derby

Does it pay to keep checking for reservations in case we can get into Ohana's instead of Kona?

I think it totally pays to keep checking to see if adr availability opens up. Many people's plans change and cancellations happen all the time. good luck

It does pay to keep checking, but we actually prefer Kona over Ohana. We think the food is much better.

I hope you enjoy the Brown Derby. We really enjoyed our last visit there, so much so we booked it again for this upcoming trip as well.

I can make a few recommendations on what we really enjoyed for you to ponder over:

Potato crusted blue lump crab cake appetizer was excellent. The cobb salad appetizer was good, not great.

The pork chop entree was inhaled by DH, so it must have been good. I had the Spiced rubbed Grouper and loved it! I will probably order it again this trip too.

We really enjoyed both the grapefruit cake and white chocolate banana toffee tower desserts.

Definitely keep checking. Even the day of. We've made ADRs before and canceled them the day of. I'm sure we're not the only ones.

I too was going to say we like Kona more then 'Ohana. We ate dinner at 'O only once. We've eaten at Kona every trip since we first tried it.

You made good choices. IMO tutto no was awful to us. Kona is great as well as O'hana u will be pleased with either.:thumbsup2
