Just returned yesterday and booked bounceback for 9-14/9-22 at ASMo for next year with free quick service. I booked this package with 8 day park hoppers and upgraded to regular DDP. My total was over $1,800. When I put those dates in for 2 adults, same time frame, and same park passes I come up with $1500. I didn't add the quick service in because it is supposed to be free. It was my understanding that upgrading was $10 per person per day. With 8 day dining for 2 of us is will be an extra $160. Can anyone tell me why my total is $300 more than the web site? Even adding in the upgraded dining plan my total still seems wrong.

It looks like a preferred room might have been booked instead of standard. I priced it on the website and for 2 adults, 8 nights, 8 day park hoppers the total comes to $1678. Adding $160 for upgrading to DDP brings the total to $1838. Check to see if your reservation confirmation shows a standard room or a preferred room. A standard room with upgraded DDP would come to $1702 ($1542 + $160).

I checked my reservation and I am booked in a standard room. I also did not get the insurance.

I would call and talk to someone to see where the difference is. If you have a copy of the BB offer, check it to make sure there wasn't a purchase of something else that is included. One of the last free dining offers included a photo book or something like that for $99. Not sure if the BBs have anything like this or not, but that's the only other thing I can think of that would increase the price if your room type is correct and you didn't get the insurance. Good luck :wizard:.

I figured out where the difference is. To upgrade from QS to DDP next year is 16.55 per person per day not 10. So I am adding 264.80 to upgrade which accounts for the difference in price instead of 180. So 1542 + 264.80 brings my total to what I was quoted. I am rethinking the upgrade. I didn't mind paying 10 a day to upgrade but 16.55 is something I have to think about. I kept all of my receipts so I have to figure if it is worth it. Thanks for your help.

You're welcome.....I'm glad you figured it out :).

I knew exactly what the problem was when I saw your post.

I think the 2012 price structure was put in place precisely to get that upgrade cost up. They ditched one of the snacks off of the QS plan so they could hold the price in leiu of an increase. And they added the refillable mug to the regular dining plan to justify an even bigger increase, resulting in that huge jump in the upgrade. I have no idea what we'll do next year with that.
