Just booked flights to California for April 2013. Price drop = book fast! Now, for the planning part. I have previously asked about park hours/entertainment for April at Disneyland. We've debated visiting Mon/Tues/Wed or now Wed/Thurs/Fri. Looks like Friday should have all the entertainment we want - Fireworks, Fantasmic, World of Color! Thoughts/Suggestions on this?

Are you goin early(Spring Break), or late(offseason), in April?

If it's early go midweek and avoid the Friday night locals. If it's later suck it up and take the locals for the Friday night entertainment.

Because there's so many different spring breaks for so many different places, DLR often does their night time shows throughout the week for most of March and April depending on when Easter lands. Just check the hours as it gets closer because the night time shows are always "on" when the parks are open until at least 10 (in the past 8pm in winter for DCA, but they may have longer hours closer to DL like this summer). It would be best to avoid Friday if possible. Just keep in mind you can't see all the night time shows in one night. It takes at least 2, preferably 3.

We are planning an April trip from NH too - school vacation week.

Where did you find decent airfare?

So is it too early to start an April thread? :jumping1:

We're going April 11-13, 2013 because there's a big convention that week DH will go to (so his travel costs may be expensed!). I have no idea if that constitutes "mid-April" and past the Spring Break mess or not. I know our DDs' school and my university have spring breaks earlier so DD6 will miss 2 days of school.

DLR's "official" spring break (the two weeks that the SCA AP's are blocked out) are always the week before and the week after Easter. Since Easter is March 31 in 2013, April 11-13 should be after that time, but on the other had it will also be the time that no passes are blocked, except for the Saturday of course.
