booked a villa and then THEY cancelled!

Well, took the plunge and booked a villa. It is a bit further than some of the pool homes I looked at, but the price was GREAT and the space was also wonderful. I cancelled Nick Hotel today and they were downright RUDE when I did! Hmmppfff! I told them that I expected my deposit to be credited back to my CC since I had cancelled in the allotted time and they said "Well, it will take a while, but I guess it will be done!" It had better be. I am excited to be staying in a home away from home...will report back after April's trip! UPDATE--The owner just called me and said she had screwed up that she didn't have availability until the day after we would be there! UGH--I had already paypaled her my deposit and everything. I am heartbroken. Because I have an autistic son, we can't just check into a hotel room and then change our plans the next day. That is too much change for him. Back to the drawing board.

I am so sorry this happened. It really is a rare occurence. Don't let it discourage you. There are so many homes, I'm sure you'll find another perfect one.
