Booked a VGF Studio for a week!

My lovely wife surprised me just a few days before our seven-month window opened by saying she'd like to stay at the Grand Floridian in September instead of the Beach Club. Cue me waking up at 5AM Pacific to try to book the room, then realizing I couldn't get the three one-time-use points we needed online! I had to keep clicking to hold the room for an hour so that I'd have it when calling Member Services. It was a bit tense when I had to release the room so she could get it (the first day was booked except for the room I was holding), but after a few refreshes, she managed to grab it, and then it was smooth sailing.

Looking forward to seeing the newest DVC Resort when we go back "home"!

Thanks! I knew it would be tough, but I hadn't expected to have to camp the room for an hour or so. With any luck, the room request will come through as well, but we'll take what we can get.

Requested room 1515, which is a Standard View Studio.

Yay! That's great. I would like to try for VGF in December. I hope that I will be able to get it too. We will be trying for a 2 bedroom for 3 nights.

Very likely, yes. Plan on trying to book it right at 8AM Eastern, and make sure you have enough points so there are no hiccups. If you have to wait until 9AM when Member Services is available, you likely won't get it.
