We are only going to be going for three days, and all they had was a two bedroom available, using 135 of my 160 points. I got put on a waiting list for a one bedroom. I am hoping one becomes available, since I would use less points.

In a situation like this would they let me use my points at the Disneyland Hotel since they did not have the accomodations that I wanted?

You still can use points at the DLH and PP, just not the GC. The two bedroom units are awesome.

I thought that I couldn't use points to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, or the Paradise Pier, unless there were a room not available at my home resort. So can I use points to stay at the other hotels?

I'll be there in May also..very excited :)

As others have said, you can use your points to book at the DLH or PP. Once you book such a room, however, your points used for that room become Reservation Points. You can cancel that hotel booking (subject to the cencellation rules) but the points remain Reservation Points. That means they can no longer be used to book at the GCV. So if you book DLH or PP, and you can't waitlist the 1 BR at GCV unless you have a separate set of points to use for the GCV reservation if the waitlist comes through. Confused?? Best of luck -- Suzanne
