Booked a new resort, will I lose my fast passes?

I have pop century booked for our beginning of July trip. Today a deal became available for carribean beach so I booked that. I just wanted to make sure before I cancel my pop century reservation that I'm not going to lose my fast passes that are already selected.

Anyone have experience with this? TIA!

Is the Pop Century reservation a package? Or are the tickets attached separately?

If it is a package, you may lose the FPs when the package is canceled and those tickets are wiped out of the system.

If it is a room-only, and you attached tickets separately, as long as you leave the tickets attached you should keep your FPs.

This is the way I understand it, unless something changed.

I originally had us staying at Riverside and then decided I wanted to try Coronado instead and changed the reservation. It was a magic your way vacation package or something and I didn't lose any fastpasses.

That's great. Did you ask before you did it or were you ok even if they did get lost? I'm just wondering if they changed this which would be good.

I did it all through the Internet and didn't call or anything. I never even thought of losing them so I'm really glad I didn't! I just had to edit my reservation and was able to change resorts that way. It didn't affect my package. I also had to add magical express cause I had forgotten the first time so I'm glad I did it.

I did that just today. I stayed up until 12:30 am booking fastpasses for our resort stay in July, then I saw today that there was AP discount availability at our resort (when I called a few weeks ago, no AP discount was available on our room).

I booked a new reservation with the AP discount, then I canceled the reservation I had with the basic summer discount. When I clicked to cancel the first ressie, I got a message that all fastpasses booked with that ressie would be canceled. I was a bit worried, but all of my fastpasses are still there. I think the system has a way of checking whether you are currently eligible for fastpasses. If you are eligible, then you keep them. I think if I had canceled the original ressie first then rebooked, I would have lost the fastpasses.
