I moved my reservation from 7/4-7/11 because the resort is open but no parks (no extension given from Disney)
My use year is October so I had to use these points by the end of September 2020
I booked 9/22-9/30/2020 added 4 family members and we booked our airfare.
Come to find out that now we can't buy tickets. When I rebooked the DVC cast member never told me that park tickets are not available for sale.
Some of our party has tickets and some don't. So some of us will go into the parks and the others will just sit in the resort
What gives? I wish they would be more upfront about what's happening.
Disney is not being fair for not giving out this info before the booking.

Just be patient they will deal with it they have only just found out the terms and conditions for opening now they need time to implement.

But they did sell us a DVC AP. You could try that if that avenue is avail to you.

TicJet sales are run by Disney and not DVC, and I have never had a CM ask me about them.

I know it’s disappointing, but I’m not sure I agree that CMs from MS are responsible for sharing information about other aspects of a Disney trip other than what relates to DVC,

As soon as regular ticket sales open up, you will be able to buy them and then you’ll have what you need.

We still have no information the priority of how park reservations will work, other than guests with both will be dealt with first. So, I wouldn’t worry yet until that happens, and you know if it will even impact you,

I have a September reservation. We bought AP's for my wife and myself and were waiting on buying one for my three year old son until we knew for sure we were going to go. Has anyone heard any news on buying new tickets/AP's when the family already has tickets? Otherwise, this will be the most peaceful park experience for us yet.

Others have posted you can still buy the Gold AP with the DVC discount for members and anyone else living at the members address.

Yikes! I did not know this. My daughter is bringing a friend for F&W, staying in BWV on my points. She has a ticket I purchased for her last year, but friend doesn't. This may be problematic.

Moderators, if this type of post is not allowed, please remove it. Note: I am not offering to sell tickets.

Since unused tickets can be reassigned to another person, I wonder if a market will develop where people with unused tickets will offer to reassign those tickets for a fee.

Not sure how that would be administered, and there would need to be a lot of trust, since if the buyer paid first there is no guarantee the seller would actually reassign the tickets, and if the seller reassigned ticket first, and the buyer did not pay, the seller would not control reassigning that ticket back to the seller, the buyer would have that control.

Lol! My son has an unused, non-expiring ticket sitting in his account, but not sure he likes my daughter's friend enough to transfer it.

Since it is a non-expiring ticket, those are like gold if you want to go for only a few days at a time, but do not go often enough to justify an AP.

Yep. And, she'd probably not like the "you owe me" for the rest of her life, so not sure I'd even ask.

This. A little bit (a lot?) of patience is required, for sure, but I think you'll be okay. This is new for everybody and that includes Disney. I appreciate the frustration and angst - and the latter is probably the worst part for many of us - but this is a worry at this point in time, not yet a problem. We're in a similar boat and trying not to create problems we don't have yet.

There is no way someone staying in a resort isn't going to be able to buy a ticket. Sorry. I ain't buyin' it. Disney isn't that stupid. Just be patient and let it all play out.

Eventually, but right now, they are going to open up the park reservations to those who have reservations and tickets first,

So, if capacity is reached before they let those without tickets havd their turn, there very well could be guests who can’t get into the park for every day of the trip,

Remember, AP holders without reservations are going to be in the mix.

Until they announce exactly the process, those without tickets while ticket sales are suspended, are vulnerable.

I understand. I'm still sticking by what I said until someone comes back after park opening and says they were unable to buy a ticket while staying at a Disney resort. I know what they're saying, but I'll believe it when I see it.

That’s not the issue they were referring to though. They are saying that until they can buy, they are not going to be in the first phase for park openings,

And once they open, Disney will sell them the ticket..but it won’t do them any good if the park is full...they won’t get in
