Book "the ultimate disney world savings guide"

Hi:

I have seen this ad for a book from an ex disney employee, talking about the incredible savings on a disney vacation. Has anyone read this, and what is it all about? "The Ultimate DisneyWorld Savings Guide" by Beth Haworth

I can't see anyone beating this great site for disney savings and important travel tips.

It's about ripping you off and making her money!

Seriously she has NO insider info and her ads are often wrong.

For example a few years ago when ME was new she stated on her "ads" that it only worked for "selected" Disney resorts. When that got pointed out on here she changed it, but... you have to wonder.
Reviews have pretty much been that she has nothing you can't get on here for free.

Save your money!

I agree, don't waste your money. If you want to spend money on a real book, try the Unofficial Guide or a Passporter. And keep reading the DIS boards!

I believe her biggest "secret" is to rent DVC points from a DVC owner. Everything else you can get for free. I know someone who bought it and was very disappointed. No it was not me!

Do what I did and go to your local library, they usually have those kinds of books on their shelves.. True it may not be the 2009 version but certainly the 2008 version..... Things dont really change that much from book year to book year.... Also another tip.... I went on Amazon.com and purchased several travel wdw books on there for a penny plus 3.99 shipping. I bought the 2008 unofficial guide, the complete wdw 2008, and burnbaums 2008 wdw guide each for a penny.... and all of them were brand new..... So try that and see if that may help you out... have a great time planning your trip... pirate Matt

A friend of my wife's got bamboozled from it when she bought it off of Ebay. The author offers absolutely nothing new from her "former CM perspective.". Any guide out there such as the Unofficial Guide, Passporter, and even Birnbaums offers more than she could give.

Hey, I'm a former CM - why didn't I think of a book!! Guess I missed my opportunity to make the big bucks. I used to find the errors in Birnbaum's Guide.

Oh, well...the DIS is more fun than selling some 'ole book anyway.


I saw her ads when it first came out, but doubted it from the beginning - as many of us did. It was hard to resist b/c it had me curious, but was not about to part with my pennies for info I already knew or could find for free.
