Woud anybody be interested in a book swap? I have purchased books from bookstores, Costco, and second hand stores but with money being tight I thought it could be fun and less money to just share books. I have a stack of romance novels and another of mysteries, and an assortment of others. If the mods approve I can list my books and maybe those that are interested can swap/trade 1-4 books with others. Book rate on a couple of paperbacks is still much less than buying one new, or even at half off. What do you think?

There are a couple of websites you may be interested in: Paperbackswap and bookmooch. They are book swapping sites.

I think its a great idea. My local used book store shut down a year ago so i haven't had a good book in some time. I'm a true crime fan myself. :cool1:

Let's see if any other dissers are interested; if not, I'll check out other sites :).

I looked at some of those sites and while they could be great, I don't want something else to keep track of and I'd like the books I've read to go babye. It would be easier to send out a few batches to somebody who is interested in trading. PM me if you are :).

Romance Authors I have include Debbie Macomber, Chrisite Ridgway, Pati Berg, Sophie Kinsella, and tons of mystery genre "Cat Who" mystery books. I have a variety of others, too, and I'd love to strike up a trade.

I could be instrested. Anyone a Charlene Weir or treresa schwegel? I have random mystery novels and romances that my dear grandmother thinks im going to read! Her tastes and mine are no were near alike.

I recommend swaptree.com. You enter the ISBN number from what you have and then if anyone is interested swaptree sends you an email. You pay just shipping to the other person and if you send it media mail it is not that expensive.

I know you said you don't want to do Paperbackswap . com - but the volume of choices is amazing.

My son needed 5 classic paperbacks for his Honors Sophomore English class. They had to be a specific ISBN edition so they are all on the same page when discussing in class. I was able to get all of them on Paperbackswap . com :cool1: for "free" as a had enough credits. I love it.

Hmmm.

I think I'm going to have to try this paperbackswap.com. I have a ton (about 1000+) romances collecting dust and I want to get rid of them.

I like paperbackswap.com too. I even print the postage on the paper now and it helps me be able to mail those books out pretty quickly.

I cant part with some of my novels - Georgette Heyer for example - and so many are series - Stephanie Laurens, Julia Quinn, Lisa Kleypas, McNaught, Johanna Lindsey have series that I re read when they throw a new book in the mix!
