Book Suggestions!

I really loved the Great and Terrible Beauty series. I'm on rebel angels right now and it's really good.

i also love anything by jane austen, the language takes some getting used to but it's not very hard.

I am not Esther by flear beale is also really good. it's about a girl who gets abandoned by her mother and sent to live in a very strict religious cult.

I also love any of the Ellen Hopkins books (Crank, Glass, Impulse...) my favorite so far is Identical, it's about twins. (they get a bit graphic but are very very very addicting)

ummm i'll probably think of more...

Watchmen
2001 a space odessy
the accedental time machine
the dresden files (book 1 is "storm front")
twilight
harry pottere
elsewhere
the last hot time

if you can't tell I am a huge sci-fi/fantasy reader

does anybody else have any book suggestions! i love hearing all the books you guys are suggesting!

Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
I thought I was the only person who actually found this book interesting haha most people seemed to hate it, its a good read.

-Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton (goes into alot of scientific detail, which can put alot of people off)

-The Diary of Ellen Rimbaurer : My Life at Rose Red by "Joyce Reardon"*
really good book, though not a real diary its really interesting showing the way of life then and Ellen's life progressing.
*=Thats not the real author, the book was released under that name but I've forgotten the guys name who wrote it haha.

I thought of one more:
Megan Meade's Guide To The McGowan Boys by Kate Brian
"Boys. 7 of them, to be exact.

Megan is used to moving from place to place -- it's typical for an army brat. But she drew the line at South Korea. She insists on staying in the States to finish her last two years of high school. So her parents made arrangements for Megan to live with their friends, the McGowans...and the McGowans' 7 sons.

Turns out, living with 7 boys might as well be a foreign country! The boys are messy. They are cliquey (who knew?). And worst of all, two of the oldest boys are H-O-T. (A problem considering they are supposed to be Megan's "brothers.") Megan is definitely in enemy territory. She needs to win over the boys' hearts without totally crushing her own.

And when Megan starts falling for one of them, sibling rivalry takes on a whole new meaning....

What is a girl to do?
"
CAUTION: there is a little bit of maturity in this book, too.. (most of Kate Brian's books are. hahahahaha)

The mature one I was talking about is called Dispatch by Bentley Little.

Now, I'm not sure how old you are, but I DO NOT reccomend this book for anyone under 15 or 16. (Even though I read it when I was 14, almost 15!)
It's a very mature and...descriptive book, but it is really good IMO. I couldn't put it down, and thought the ending was great and twisting.

We had to read it in writing class and most of us enjoyed it.
I loved it personally, even though it was really sad.
Very short too, if you're intimidated by size of the books. Lol.

Anything by Nicholas Sparks is marvelous if you are into romance.

Scott Westerfield, The Uglies, The Pretties, The Specials, etc.

Of course the Twilight saga, and Harry Potter series.

The Road by Cormac McCarthy

A Child Called It... the author escapes me... at the moment...

Um yeah all of these books are really great:)

The Magic or Madness Series by Justine Larbalestier is really good. Also, the Stravaganza series by Mary Hoffman is amazing. I've only read the first two, but there are four of them.

Umm...anything by Nicholas Sparks is amazing. My favorite Nicholas Sparks book (and movie xD) is A Walk To Remember.

ooooh has anyone said Green Angel? I forget who it's by but it's also really really good

ooo looking for alaska, paper towns...they're all really really really good
