Book recommendations for child help

What books are good regarding what could be termed as a "difficult" or "strong-willed" child?

DS4 is exactly like me (sorry, Mom ) and is stubborn, defiant, too smart for his own good, and just a plain old pain in the rear at times. I need to find an effective way of 1. keeping these traits from causing problems and 2. an effective way of discipline when they do cause problems.

I really don't want to get in debate about it, would like a little "insight" from a professional in this area. Anyone know of any good books out there on this subject?

Also, try a book by Dr. Brazleton. Any book. I thought he is the most common sense advice giver out there.

I two books, but they were geared for kids a little older. One was "Disciplining your 6-12 year old without Losing Your Mind" and the other was "Parent in Control".

Again, both for kids older than yours, but might be helpful. I gave them to my neighbor, or I'd offer to send 'em to you.

My mom swore by the book "The Difficult Child" when she was raising my youngest sister. I can't remember the author but I do remember taking her to meet him at a conference once and she started to cry she was so grateful to him. (I should also add that my sister was the youngest of 7 kids and just about did my parents in!)
