We are visiting WDW at the end of Oct/first of Nov. If I purchase a book on Amazon, should I get the 2005 or 2006 edition? I am looking at the "unofficial guide" or Birnbaums.
'06 Unofficial Guide. It's the newest and most up to date info. We ahve gone SO MANY TIMES this year I'm finding it hard to justify the need for it this time
If you are using this site and places like Allearsnet.com to plan your vacation a book just isn't wholly necessary, in my opinion.
However, if it is your first vacation, then the book might be worth it meerly for the fact that most of them have nifty little maps so you can actually plan visually.
I'm a fan of Birnbaum, but have you considered Passporter at all? Even if you go with an '05 Passporter, you'll be in luck as it's fairly up to date (minus-if I recall-the new ticket media). Passporter also has an amazing website where you can get the latest updates for your book-with even more helpful planning on-line. You might also want to try the used and almost new sections of these offerings in Amazon. If they still have the inserts and planning sheets, it could save you some money. Just a thought.
I also have Passporter, I need to check out the website! One that the kids enjoy is Birnbaums for kids by kids. My younger DD carried it around on our last two trips.
