We're sailing this weekend (hooray!) and would like to know whether we could book onboard for our next cruise, which probably wouldn't be until at least 2007. Could we book the latest available date in 2006 (or some random date?) and then move the reservation when 2007 dates come out and keep the discount and credit? Can you only move it once, or could you theoretically do the same thing and push it off another year if you needed?

Yes, you can. They will transfer the discount, on-board credit, etc. when you change the date to the cruise you want. I did it this year and had no problem at all!!!

We rebooked onboard back in November. We ultimately want to cruise in 2007 or 2008 so for now we booked a week in August 2006 knowing full well we're going to bump it at least once to 2007 and maybe a 2nd time to 2008.
:cool1:

Ah, now there is another new thing I've learned from these boards! Making a reservation then bumping it to when you really want to travel!?!

I have already booked a second cruise with a TA (first sailing in June '05) and am lamenting that I missed out on the $200 ship board credit by not waiting to book while on the first cruise, but figure that the cost of the specific cruise we want will have gone up by more than that by june....any ideas or am I out of luck here?

Also, does the price change when you say, book for one year then change to a subsequent year that may be cheaper due to the time of year(not school break or holiday or because it is so far out)? Do you get the cheaper rate? If you think you want to do this, should you not rebook with a TA until you've scheduled with Disney the actual dates you want?

keep all this insider info coming!

you get the going rate.

we rebooked for Aug 2006 which is really expensive. when we change the dates we'll probably shoot for a Spring or October (avoiding spring break) to get the cheaper rate. But it's conceivable that an October 2008 will be more expensive than an October 2004/2005/2006, but it should still be cheaper than an Aug 2006 (here's hoping ;) )

hi ewl nice to see some one else goning the magic on sat 1/15/ we'll be their to hope to see you .yes you can book well on the cruise and get the discount you may get a great price booking so far in advance sandra

Just wondering if you book a 3 or 4 day cruise onboard and then change it to a 7 day cruise, will you still get the $200 credit?
