Thx Deb, that's my problem. I want to sail in about a year and DVC told me to wait until 11 months to book and I do want to save a few points onboard if possible.
It shouldn't be a problem to get the discounted points price and you don't need to book onboard...here's what they told me a few weeks ago. I was interested in the points cost for 2 adults for a cruise in Nov. 2005. She gave me the amounts and during the conversation I mentioned that we had just gotten back from our first
Disney Cruise and were wanting to cruise again in Nov. 2005 for our 25th wedding anniversary. She said "Oh, so you will be repeat cruisers, then?" When I told her yes, she said that as long as I book within 3 days of the 11 month window, we get a reduced points price. Here is the info she gave me:
4 night Disney Wonder, November 27, 2005, Cat. 6 for 2 adults
If booked within 3 busness days of Dec. 27, 2004
137 points per person (total points for two people - 274)
If paying one person in cash - 137 points plus $917
If booked after that 152 points per person (total points for two people - 304)
If paying one person cash - 152 points person plus $1017
Hope this helps! I have this information attached to my calendar so that I don't forget to do it on Dec. 27th!
