Book now or wait (for Oct)

I think I want to take my son up to Orlando for his 4th birthday in October, hoping to bring the grandparents along on the trip. Right now there isn't any Florida Resident rates released, kinda hoping there will be. Should I book now to basically hold our room and if something better comes along then take it? I guess why I'm so iffy about it is because the only time I ever get offered a PIN is when I haven't booked at a Disney hotel in a LONG time. LOL or at least that's what it seems like Thoughts???

If you are going regardless of whether or not there is a discount, I would book now to be assured you get the resort you want. But if the trip is dependent on a code, I'd wait to see what (if any) discounts come out for your dates. Good luck .

I still get PINs once I'm booked, so I wouldn't worry about that.

If you're not set on a certain hotel, there's no reason not to wait for a discount. Just realize that the closer you get, the less likely there will be a specific room available if you have a preference.

I think it depends on where you are staying. If you want a room that is hard to get (value villa, garden wing rooms @ Contemp, etc) then I'd book now and add a discount later. If you are staying somewhere with lots of availability and are flexible on which resort you get then wait. I've heard others mention that they offer discounts to encourage people to book when bookings are low, so if everyone books now there won't be a reason to offer great discounts. We're holding off for that very reason. I'd only book if the room were in limited availability or if it were a really popular week that booked up quickly.
