Book now, get AP discount later?

We are planning to spend a week in December (7th-13th) but will have passes by that point (purchasing them in August) so are hoping for discounted AP rates like were offered last year, etc. for our stay. BUT... if we wait to book until the rates come out (mid-August) last year, we will be well inside the 180 day ADR window and are worried about getting ADRs for our favorites TS restaurants.

So... can we book early, make our ADRs, and then change to the AP rates when they become available without losing our ADRs, etc?

Yes, you can do that.

Also - while you can't book all your reservations at your 180 day mark, you can still book them.

Probably just easier though to book rack rate now and apply the discount later.
