Book Now. Discount later?

I was wondering if I book directly on disney's site for a room in January and a AP DISCOUNT comes out later can I have it applied? If so do I just call disney? I usually use a TA but wanted to do it on my own since it's just one night.

That's exactly what we do. And yes you just call Diz and tell them that you're either an AP or FL resident and they will make the adjustment right then.

That's what I am doing. Granted I already have a UIC/PIN on my current trip I am hoping to get into a different resort under the military salute. The waiting is starting to kill me slowly.

The pp's are correct that a discount can be applied to an existing reservation, provided what you have booked is available under the discount. Sometimes you have to be flexible with your resort and/or room type to take advantage of a discount as having a reservation already in place does not guarantee a discount can be applied.
