Has anyone seen the site bookit.com that is linked to Travelzoo that has a 3* Downtown Disney mystery hotel for $59? It says it was built in 1971 and renovated in 2001 which doesnt match up with BW or Grovsenor for sure. It says it has 2 pools, poolside bar, kiddie pool, 2 rest, 2 lounges, basketball, tennis, fitness

Any suggestions on figuring out what hotel this is?
thanks!

you can take the description (just make sure you leave our the mystery hotel) and go put it in
www.google.com

it will tell which hotel it is. or give you a good idea.

Thanks I tried that and the only thing that came back up is the book it info!

Strange as I left anything about mystery hotel etc off

OK, weird. I tried some other part of the description and it came up with HOtel Royal Plaza but that is closed right? Why would it be offering that? I am so confused!

does it say where it is located?

there are several in Kissimee and Orlando that this would work for - since you can't match it with google - that probably means this hotel is not online.

so it is definitely one of the older ones, probably in Kissimmee.

Well it says its in Downtown Disney and claims how it is "inside" Disney so it has to be one of those

Probably the Grosvenor. I think it's the only DTD that lists a basketball court as an amenity. The two pools and two restaurants also match.

Maybe they painted the hotel in 2001 and count that as a renovation

Lewis, haha you are probably right! It seems to be the Grosvenor from what I can tell but not everything matches up exactly...I dont think I want to stay there. We stayed there on Priceline in the past and luckily talked the manager into giving us a Tower room. The courtyard rooms were just nasty!

i finally went and found the one you are talking about.

I looked at the Grosvenor, Best Western, and Holiday Inn - I have seem them all at this price.

and I couldn't match the pictures with any of them. Sorry!!!

Google doesn't seem to be taken the entire description?

It is the Grosvenor . I booked it last month and canceled it after some negative reviews. It cost me $10 to cancel but it was worth it.

Does anyone know if that price includes the resort fee?

For $60 a night, I would stay at the Grovesnor. I've stayed there before and it's not that bad....or at least I've never had a bad experience. The rooms are older and they need an update, but they were always clean...believe me, I checked! I LOVE the location...not even a 5 minute walk across the street to DTD. The pool isn't great and it isn't Disney for sure, but for a cheap price in a great location it's okay.

Note: the pictures at bookit.com are NOT of the Grovesnor...that is definitely not their pool! The picture says sample on it.

Anyway, I know they charge a resort fee and was wondering if they still added it if I went through bookit.com?

I did the Mystery room in August and it was for Grovsner.
I booked for $59 per night and somehow they only charged me $34 per night. I am not complaining to anyone though.
I thought the room was ok, it was not the newest but it was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We called for a crib and it was brought immediately and it was really clean. As a matter of fact they steamed it with a hand steamer on the outside balcony just before they brought it into the room. The bedding for the crib was nicer than what my niece had for her baby at home.
I didn't go to the pool because I don't see my sister and her family much and this gave me time to spend with the baby alone. My sister, nephew and neice in law went to the pool and they were very happy with it.
I don't spend much time in the room, we get up in the am, watch a little TV while everyone gets ready and we are off to the parks. All I need is a clean bed.
If the offer is available in Dec when I go to the parks I will stay there again. I have my DVC but I hate to use up my points by staying on weekends. I stay at a cheap hotel on weekends then stay at my DVC during the week.
Of course don't judge by me, I love CiCi's. lol Peggie
