You really only have Southwest and JetBlue that fly non-stop from Buffalo to Orlando now. Both seem to be following a steady trend of selling their seat prices in blocks. The lowest prices (i.e. the first 20 seats) sell at the lowest price once they are first released, followed by a steady increase at the next block of seats (i.e. 20 - 40 seats) and so on. For example, Southwest has been selling their first block of seats for $109 one way on a Tuesday/Wednesday from Buffalo to Orlando. The second block of seats then goes up to $128...and so on. Unlike the old days, very rarely do they drop back down in price unless someone changes their flights and the number of tickets available drops back into the lower block of tickets. When they do have sales, it's usually for very specific dates for a special occasion like their birthday sale.
JetBlue just seems to keep going up and up with rare sales for the Buffalo to Orlando route.
The purchase of AirTran by Southwest really damaged the competition on the Buffalo to Orlando route.
