:cool1: Hello everyone

I am planning to celebrate my daughters 3rd Birthday at cafe mickey on our 2nd day at DLP... I would like to book a table for 6:30ish and order a Birthday cake.

We arrive in DLP on Monday 10th November... would it be ok to book the table and cake at cafe mickey on Monday evening for the next day (Tues evening) ??? Or is that leaving it too late? :confused3
It is the 1st week of xmas season but i dont think that it will be over busy in DLP at this time.

How do i book? Do i go to Cafe Mickey itself or can i book from our hotel? We are staying offsite in the Dream Castle Hotel.

Or would you recommend phoning reservations and booking table and cake a week before we go to DLP?

Thanks for your help :thumbsup2

Personally I'd book it in advance to save any possible dissapointment especially as it is for your daughters birthday.

I've already booked mine for October as I don't want to miss out on what will be our first ever character meal :cool1: .

 thanks for your reply and advice.
Do i have to pay for anything over the phone?
I will book Cafe Mickey and birthday Cake a few weeks before we go and i might book the Character Tea at Plaza while i am on the phone, too ;) ...

You might get away with booking the night before, but over the phone is better because it's earlier :goodvibes

It's free (well, apart from the cost of the phone call), so there's no major downside to doing it. It can be done as far as 60 days before you leave, so you'd be able to do it from about the 10th September. The CMs on the phone are apparently very good and will of course switch to speaking English or whatever as soon as you speak to them in your chosen language.

The CM's really are excellent. I called to book for the evening and then called back about 10 mins later to change it to the afternoon, I got the same CM and we had such a laugh as when they offered me a time for the evening I was so indecisive.

They didn't ask for any deposit or anything when I called which again I thought was excellent.

Have you ordered the cake already? i cant rememeber but i think you may have to pay for it when you phone

Sounds a brilliant way of booking, i think i will phone and book to be on the safe side.

Has anyone got the phone number please?

Is the phone call really pricey? Might be cheaper if i buy a £5 international phone card.

Does anyone know how much the Character Tea at plaza costs per person.... my daughter wont be 3 when we go she is 3yrs old the week after we are bk from DLP so im sure the character tea is free for her.

The phone number is (0)160 30 40 50 and is a French number.

So, to phone from a uk landline, it's 00 33 160 30 40 50

I don't think it's a very pricey phonecall, depends on your service provider but it wouldn't be more than 50p per minute from anyone I wouldn't have thought. Takes about 3-5 minutes depending on how long they take to answer and how much you babble down the phone to them. I'd say that a phonecard isn't really worth it tbh.

Search online for discount international phone rates. There are sites which allow you to put a code in front of the number to get it cheaper then your phone provider.

Try 18185.co.uk

That's who I use.

You dont pay over the phone for any meals you book, when i ordered a cake in January i paid when we got the bill.

Mine was prepaid but i cant rememebr whether it was paid for over the phone or added to the hotel booking.

Definitely book it in advance. You can also order a birthday cake too which is 15pounds extra so that you can have the cake during dinner at Cafe Mickey. Also, the Character Birthday Party is very popular as well if you want something a little different.
