We’re going to be at Aulani next month, and the thirty day window just opened today for the date on which we want to have our Ama Ama dinner. We live on the west coast, and the reservations open daily at midnight Honolulu time, so I actually got up around 3 am to do it online.

Our preferred time was 6:30 pm, but when I signed on at 3:15 AM Pacific Time, 15 minutes after the window had opened, it wasn’t available! I got 7 PM instead, not bad, but when I checked again at 8 AM just out of curiosity, the only time to be had thirty days from now was 5 PM. Every other time was gone.

So, just a note of caution, if you want a specific time for dining at Ama Ama, book at exactly midnight Hawaii time!

Well said Paul. We're heading to Aulani in 2 weeks and when we were 30days out hit the reservation button exactly at midnight (6am ET) and got 6:30pm AMA'AMA. I checked back 10min later and only 7pm was available.. an hour later it was booked.

I completely missed out on early booking, but if you're reading this, don't despair - you can also try going to Ama Ama on the day of!

I understand the reservations are only for a certain % of tables and they do have seating for walk-ins. July 1st it changes and only resort guests can make reservations.. I missed the cut by a month! Just means we'll need to book another vacation at Aulani.

Thank you Paul!

Does anyone know if the 30 day window is from the day of your dinner or the start of your trip?

I’m sure they have some walk in seating, but I wouldn’t count on getting the exact time you want. Better to drop by a day or two before and see what they have.
