Book a Package or Seperate

do you think it is better to book a package through Soutwest Airlines and for the New York New York hotel in Vegas or to book seperately?

Get online and check out the flight only from SW and then go to the NYNY hotel website and price it separately. Usually, I find it cheaper to book separately because you pay for the room "twice" when you book the package.
