DH and I have had the coverage on for most of the evening and they have not mentioned him or Bobby Hamilton, that I can remember. I think that they are trying really hard to concentrate on tonights race.

On the SPEED network they said Nascar Truck Series would have a tribute to Bobby Hamilton Jr before the NASCAR truck race on Friday Night at Daytona.

Didn't hear them talk about Benny

My poor husband is being a good daddy and is with our two daughters at a Girl Scout Father Daughter Dance/Dinner- and he even tortured himself before going by watching all the pre-race stuff

He is actually thinking of not going to New Orleans for Mardi Gras until Monday- next weekend because his parents don't watch and he doesn't want to have to miss Daytona too...

I raced go karts for about 6 years so I am partial to open wheel and road course racing. But oval racing is the closet racing you will ever get!

it seems when someones front quarter is lined up with someones rear quarter it just sucks the rear quarter right over. I don't remember that happening so bad before.

Hey Mikee, I agree open wheel racing is the best! My favorite is IRL oval racing! But Nascar has done such a good job of grabbing the market, if you like racing in the U.S., it's going to be Nascar! I heard or read that Nascar is now 4th in worldwide tv viewing. SuperBowl, World Cup Soccer, Olympics then Nascar.

BTW, my DH's theory on how loose their getting is the harder tire compound being used this race. Do you know if the tire compound change is in effect for the whole season or just this race?
