Boo to you, and Yo Ho Ho!! An Oct 2012 PTR. Updated 10/22!! Finally!!!!!

Congrats on booking the airfare! I love JetBlue. They can sometimes be a little pricier but the planes are nice, unlimited free snacks, free DirecTV, and free first checked bag makes up for it IMO.

Congrats on booking the airfare and making it official. I am another that loves Jet Blue. It's one of the only direct flights we can get to Orlando from Austin. The seats are comfy and I don't feel as squished as I do on some pricier airlines. So awesome that you get to add a day on to your trip as well. Who doesn't love an extra day at Disney. Even if you get there later it's better than being at work. LOL.

Thanks! We are pretty excited about flying with JB. I always thought of myself as a SW snob...but those tv's have got me thinking SW's schedule and price would have to be REALLY good to get me to switch back.

Looking forward to catching up on your plans. We will be at Bonnet Creek at the same time as you!

I've been MIA again....sorry..:guilty: I have been working and sick, so when I have been home and awake I haven't been able to form a coherent thought, let alone put it on here!:crazy2:

We have a huge update this afternoon! We purchased our flights home today!!:cool1:
I was perusing the Canadian board and saw a post about Airtran having reduced some of their flights. I took a look and low and behold the flight we wanted went down from $155 to $126! Even with baggage fees we are saving $80 and getting a direct flight later in the day like we wanted! YAY!!!

So now we have our flights booked, we can't book WBC yet but we know that's where we are staying and I think we are going to sign the girls up for the YES program and we will save $300 on tickets this way! Plans are rolling along nicely.:thumbsup2

:cool1: for flights home.

Which YES program are you taking? You should join us for the Ocean Discoveries. It would be fun to share the class with a DISer!

That would be awesome, but the only one that both girls can attend is the Wild By Design one. Their ages don't fit into any other class together.:headache:

Subbing along to follow you and your family's journey towards Oct.! DH and I will be there 10/23-28, so I am enjoying counting down with my fellow Oct. park-goers. Congrats on booking the airfare! I always feel so good when I do that because I know there's very little chance it will change. We're flying JetBlue to Orlando from NYC, but just for that leg of our trip. It's a great airline! Looking forward to reading the rest of your PTR :)

Yay for booking the flights home!! It's all coming together. :)

It feels so good!!

:welcome: Glad you could join us! We did an adult only trip last Oct. We did a day at Epcot for F&W and a 3 night cruise on the Dream and then we attended MNSSHP on the night after. It was an amazing vacation..too short, but amazing! Loved F&W!!!:cloud9:

We are going to get a little perspective on airlines with this vacation, JB on the way down and AT on the way back..comparing that to our experience with SW should be interesting.

I just heard about the YES program today on another board. It is something I definitely want to look into when I go with my nieces and nephews! it will be hard finding all of them a class together, though. We may have to split them into two groups-- older two and younger two.

I agree, we can't split them up or they won't go. So it's Wild by Design or nothing. We haven't made the final decision. We're still thinking about it.

We really wanted Wild by Nature but it was full. DS will be 3 weeks shy of 8 which is the starting age for Ocean Discoveries but when I called they said it was fine, otherwise we would have had to do 2 classes or not do YES at all.

I'm worried that the class we want will fill up too. But right now we are waiting for our bonus to buy tickets at all, let alone discount ones with the YES program. No funds in the pot right now..:rolleyes1

Well, now that we have our flights purchased that means our dates are set in stone. And also with October park hours posted we can get down to the nitty-gritty planning of park days and ADR's! :thumbsup2 Let the games begin!!:cool1:

Day One:
Monday October 22

We are flying down with JetBlue from Buffalo direct to MCO at 10:10 AM. I would have preferred a little earlier, usually we like to take the first flight out, but this was direct and that was more important to us as we took indirect flights in Jan and HATED it!
We love to fly and the girls are always great on the plane and dealing with the whole security checks at the airport.

Our arrival time is 12:43 so that is still nice an early in the day.

We love the airport there...we get a little taste of Disney with the "fake" monorail there:

We will be renting a car to get us to our timeshare at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. I believe we will go directly there and take care of checking in. We won't have access to our room until after 4, but we can take advantage of the amenities and swim and relax in the lazy rivers! YAY!!

I was thinking of renting a cabana there for the day. They are $50 for the day and you get a mini fridge some really nice loungers and a TV..plus some privacy for changing when you close the curtain. We checked them out in Jan and they looked really nice. Ferb isn't a huge swimmer and would probably appreciate them more than us, but it would be nice to have somewhere to call home base for a few hours.

After we get in our room we will do the obligatory Bed Bug check..and PLEASE EVERYONE!! Learn from us how important this is!! We found them in Jan and had we not checked right away we would probably still be dealing with the little critters right now...they are very expensive to get rid of completely!!
We will need to do some shopping for our weekly groceries and supplies. There is a Walmart not far from there.
For dinner we will try to get to our favorite arrival day ADR.

Raglan Road!:shamrock:

If we don't make it here this night, there is one more completely free evening later in the week, but it has become a tradition for us to eat here on arrival night. We missed it in Jan due to the whole Bed Bug fiasco! :headache:

There you have it...our first day in Disney....sounds more relaxing than the rest of the week will be, but with traveling and dealing with airports and rental cars and grocery shopping I can't imagine us handling more than this. We will get to bed at a reasonable hour...maybe 9 ish? Big day the next day...our first PARK DAY!!:cool1:

EWWWW! Bed bugs. You've totally managed to freak me out. Well done. LOL.

The WBC pool area looks awesome! I don't know much about the resorts in that area but I've heard good things.

I definitely want to check out Raglan Road. I love Irish pubs! I don't think we'll have dinner there but we may have a drink or two.

I know, RIGHT? Totally FREAKY!! I was grossed out when we found them...had a hard time sleeping that night for sure.

That pic of WBC is of one of their pool areas. There are like 4 pools, two slides, two lazy rivers. A splash pad for little kids, and I think 4 hot tubs. :cloud9: Not to mention the miniature golf, and all the kids activities.
That's why we scheduled an extra rest day so we could take the time to utilize it all. Can't wait!!

Oh, and Raglan Rd has some of the best food...loved their steak, and Ferb said the salmon was great too. The entertainment can't be beat...love me some Irish music!
