Boo to you, and Yo Ho Ho!! An Oct 2012 PTR. Updated 10/22!! Finally!!!!!

We were there this last Jan from Jan 22nd through the 29th. I need to get a trip report going for that trip as it was a very magical trip for us.

I am definitely going to try one now that you mentioned it. I had planned on booking Ohana's for dinner one night and that has me convinced! lol.

Let me know when you get that started so I can read it...and I am following your PTR now, too!:surfweb:

I'm sitting here listening to the girls getting ready for school and they are in snarky moods today...so I am dreaming of this...

Two happy girls getting along and even indulging their mother and wearing matching shirts...

Ahhhhh....the magic of Disney!pixiedust:

I'm lucky enough not to have to dream it .. my boys ARE like that pretty much all the time. It must be a "twin" thing ! (or maybe that their just 7yrs old ;) )

Your girls are super cute in their matching shirts though !!

It might be a girl/boy thing, or it might be the difference in their ages...plus Stitch is on meds for ADD and until they kick in she is hard to get motivated and I have to push to get her to just eat her breakfast let alone get dressed, brush her hair and teeth..get her boots and jacket on....ughh...I can't wait for March break when we can have lazy mornings again...

Anyways, they are at school and I can have some peace and quiet to update here!

Oh I get it ! My 2 older girls were like oil and water .. it was very frustrating. But now they're all grown up and SO close. My oldest was there for her "baby" sister on Friday when she gave birth to my granddaughter. It was so touching to see her comforting her sister during this time.

Love reading your updates ! :thumbsup2

Congratulations, Grandma!!! :cool1::banana::yay::love:

I complain when they act like they did this morning...but when they are alone together and don't think I am listening, I can hear them playing so nicely together..it's awesome! I am hoping that when they grow up they will have learned to respect each other and be thankful that they have each other. It's one day at a time and one lesson at a time, isn't it?

Anyways, congrats on the grand baby!!!:flower3:

Thank you so much ! It's our first girl in the family in 23 years. I've waited a LONG time for a little Princess and I am thrilled beyond words. She is such a blessing. :goodvibes
I figure when my boys are grown and going to Disney with mom is "lame" I'll have my Princess to take along with me instead. princess:

How about we fill some waiting time and I talk about myself? :lmao:

I already told you my age :headache:...yeah, not happy about that one!:rolleyes1 Ferb and I will be celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary while we are down in WDW this year! Can't wait to wear that Anniversary Pin with pride! We've seen our share of struggles over the past 5 years or so...it's not been pretty. But we are here and together and stronger than ever. That sounds like a cheer..:cheer2: ( any excuse to put another smiley in)

We live in Southern Ontario and work at the same place..it's a Casino. If you live anywhere near me you know where I'm talking about...just not allowed to mention the name for some reason.:cool2: Anyways, we work opposite shifts. Ferb is on days and I am on midnights and that can be difficult sometimes. But they are generous with time off and we take full advantage and try to book all of our vacations together. Recently they have put some serious restrictions on when we can book that time off. We've never been able to have Xmas week, but now we can only have one week during prime season. Not complaining, but it does make it difficult to not take the girls out of school for Disney. So far the teachers and school have been wonderful. Hey, they have families and they understand not everyone lives on their schedules. And we work with them to get the girls back on track every time.

Anyways, more about me!!:rotfl: I never thought I would ever get to go to Disney. I always thought it would be too expensive. But then I heard about free dining and told my Dcuz and a trip was born! I never really got into the Disney culture before either..I mean as a kid I saw the movies when they would get shown on TV, but never became obsessed until 2008.:rolleyes1 I'm not really obsessed, just very interested..yeah that's it!::yes::
As a kid we always went camping for our vacations, my Dbro still loves that kind of travel...me, not so much. Can't stand the bugs and the dirt...I like the idea of camping, just not in practice.

WDW is right up my ally...you can relax by the pool, and get out and do all kinds of fun adventures and see cool shows and ride all kinds of rides...
Not to mention, there always seems to be something new that you can try!
This time around I am looking forward to trying either the HDDR or Spirit of Aloha dinner show. It's something totally different from what we have done before and I think the girls are old enough now to enjoy both the food and the show.

My faves at WDW are:
Space Mountain, BTMRR, POC, Wishes, Soarin', Test Track, TSMM, RnRC, meeting characters, watching parades...snacks and drinks....okay, I need to stop because I am making myself CRAZY!!

Right now I am training to be a travel agent and a Disney Vacation Specialist. I have one more exam to take tomorrow and then when I get notification that I passed I will be able to book Disney vacations! :cool1: I can't wait to help others have awesome vacations, too! :dance3:

Hmmm....what else can I say about me...
I love to read, my favorite show right now is The Bachelor :rolleyes1, I don't sleep enough because of my shift so sometimes I sound silly in my reports (just a little disclaimer), my favorite seasons are spring and fall..ummmm...my favorite color is green...well, you probably don't care about that stuff, huh?:lmao:

I usually don't like pics of myself, but here are a few that I don't mind so much...they might help put not only a face to the name, but show a bit about me...

Alright, that's all for now....I'll put you all out of your misery.:upsidedow

Your girls are too precious. The sister that is two years younger than I were like your daughters. We would get along great and then fight pretty much all growing up. We are the best of friends now and I don't know what I would do without her. So there is definite hope in the future for your two girls!

Love all the pictures especially the one of you in the hat from 2008. You seem like you have fun no matter what! That is awesome that you will be celebrating 15 years together with Ferb. It's always nice to see when couples stay together and work through the bad times. It definitely makes you stronger as a couple! That is one thing I asked my MIL about because they celebrated 46 on our trip and she said if there was one piece of advice she could give to others it would be, to be patient with each other and work through the bad. Not to give up even if it seems much easier to do.

I will definitely give a big thumb's up to the HDDR. We went on our last night this last trip and I will be posting all sorts of pictures from our trip. It is definitely campy humor but they get the audience to participate which makes it even more fun. The food was pretty good too and the fact you get all you can drink sangria or beer made it even better. If you have any questions regarding it let me know as it's still pretty fresh in my head.

Love all of the pictures!! You look like you're completely immersed in the Disney magic in all of them and having a wonderful time!

I second the HDDR recommendation. We went last trip and the kids had a blast! Oh yeah, and the included sangria is great, too. :thumbsup2

Question: How did you decide to become a Disney Vacation Specialist? And how do you qualify? Honestly, that sounds just fabulous. I'm very burned out with what I'm doing now, and am away from the kids more than I ever expected to be, and have been looking for something that still brings something, but lets me be closer. I'd love to hear more. :)

I too can vouch for Hoop Dee Doo :dance3::cool1: You've read my TR. we loved it.

And if you like camping without the dirt then you have to check out the Fort Wilderness Cabin's for one of your trips. :hippie:

Ahh the Fort :lovestruc I miss it...

Found your PTR on the October thread and saw we will be at WBC around the same time! So I hope you won't mind me "tagging along" with your planning. We are so excited to be taking another Halloween trip! Can't wait to see what y'all have in store for your trip!

Thanks! I love my girls, even when they are at each other' throats!;) My little brother and I would fight a lot as well, but we are definitely there for each other now.
Like I said, I will be wearing that Anniversary pin with pride...it may not be easy, but it is so worth all the perseverance to make a marriage work. We have a lot of fun together and that helps! We're not just husband and wife, but best friends as well.

I had a hard time figuring out how to become a Disney specialist here in Canada. But it's easier in the US. Just get yourself hooked up with a Disney travel agency..you can probably look on line for the many multitudes that are out there. They will get you into the Disney Travel agent site to do their training. I had to join a network here and basically open my own independent travel agency that is a part of this network. It costs me money to be part of it, but they handle all my accounting and I can sell all kinds of travel, not just Disney.

Everyone keeps saying the same thing about HDDR. I think we are gonna do it!! Thanks!

HAHA!! I just posted the same thing on yours!!

Can't wait to read more!

Thanks for reading along!!:thumbsup2

Now shall we discuss Ferb?
imagesjpgferb-1.jpg

No, not THAT Ferb.....

THIS Ferb!
100_2424-Copy-Copy2-Copy-1.jpg

Ferb doesn't seem to care about his age...although sometimes he likes to remind me that he is younger than me..even if it's only by less than 8 months! He was born in Wales, UK and moved to England when he was around 6 or 7, but then moved to Canada when he was 17. That's a tough age to move to another country! He lost most of his accent and only once in a while says something that reminds me that he's not from around these parts. ;)

His loves are science fiction, computers and us! :cloud9: Maybe not in that order...:rolleyes1 He has a little computer recycling business on the side that he enjoys and helps keep our Disney addiction fed. He likes to bowl and is in a league. Like I said before we work at the same place, different departments and opposite shifts. Ferb is on the day shift and that means that he gets more sleep than me...can make for an interesting day when I haven't gotten much sleep and I am cranky..poor guy tends to take the brunt of it. He's a great guy, excellent husband and father. Doesn't like to drink much..although you wouldn't be able to tell from some of these pics...

Ferb is one of those calm, cool and collected kind of guys until he gets set off, but usually that's just because of some stupid work thing, and even then he is pretty low intensity. He and I are opposites that way and it helps with balancing us out. He has been so supportive of my new venture into Disney Travel Specialist! He's a gem, that's for sure.

His first trip to Disney was with us in '08 and he fell in love in '09 when we had such a wonderful family vacation. And that's what he loves the most..his family!

His favorite Disney character is Ferb and he really enjoyed meeting P&F in Jan!

I love my Ferb!!

AWWW! WE all love Ferb....he was so helpful to me last year too. And I finally bought a new computer this year...so hopefully all those troubles are in the past! :thumbsup2
