Boo to you & AKV too!! **11/18**52 days to go, freaking out, a bag & next year!**

I did not take this picture and I honestly don't remember where I got it from. It may have been one of the "do you have a picture of..." threads

I started packing yesterday!!! I actually did all of the kids packing!! I never realized how much easier packing for a shorter trip would be!!

Packing for March when DH and I went alone was easy. But I guess I just assumed packing for all 5 of us is just time consuming and dread doing it! I'm always very organized leading up to packing. Pulling things out and wrapping my head around who will wear what when but the actual packing is just not all that fun.

I used to start packing weeks in advance, I'm talking 6 or so. But then I have suitcases on the floor in my bedroom and I find myself going back through because I need to reassure myself that I have everything!

The boxes to ship are also ready! Yes boxes, plural :rolleyes1 I decided to ship the costumes. They're so big and bulky and take up soooo much room in the suitcase!!

So, I have a box with the stuff for the owners locker and a box for the costumes!

I just have to take them to UPS later this week! I've read mailing to WDW isn't the best thing to do because sometimes stuff from the postal service ends up in a central mail room at WDW and I may end up not getting my package. But UPSing or FedExing to the exact address of the resort will mean the packages will be waiting for me! I have to call SSR to get the exact address and find out what I should put on the label.

Now I'm thinking about groceries for the room. We don't need much. But, we'll likely have breakfast in the room at least once, maybe twice. I was going to order from the SSR grocery list on the DVC site but their stuff is limited. I'm thinking about ordering from garden grocer but like I said we don'r need much. I could skip ordering altogether and pick stuff up at the shop at SSR when we get there or we could skip eating breakfast in the room and eat at Artist Palette.

I think I might want to make an actual breakfast though. Pancakes, etc. Just because I can :woohoo:

Still not sure what I'm going to do!!!! Help, anyone, please?!

I've sent an email off to DD's teacher letting her know about the trip and asking for work.

I haven't informed DS's teacher yet. I'm kinda scared after he's been out for a week :headache: LOL!! DH thinks it's funny that I'm scared of the teacher. But, I'm not really scared of the teacher so much as feeling guilty for taking him out of school right after he was out for a week.

DS really needs this trip though. He had such a rough summer after I had my surgery in May. He was soooo scared that something was going to happen to me. He wouldn't leave my side the whole summer!! He's finally getting back to his normal happy self again!! A little magic will do him loads of good :cloud9:

I'm off now with the little one to run some errands!! I have to buy a new laptop battery :headache: The one in my laptop now runs out of power after about 30 minutes if it isn't plugged in  I want to take my laptop with us so the kiddos can watch a DVD on the plane and so maybe I can do a live update or 2 while we're gone!!!

Sounds like you are really organized and ready to go!

I love that picture of Haunted Mansion, so spooky!

Hope the kids are feeling better! So glad they will be over their ear infections before you leave!! :thumbsup2

Good luck with your packing!

Kathy

Glad the kids are feeling better. I would probably feel a little guilty about school, too. But what are you going to do???? The trip is planned. Talked to the teacher and then let it go.

I wish I could see today's pics - but, alas, I can't. :sad1:

Not sure what to suggest about the groceries. :confused3 I say buy what you need down there. It's a short trip.

I bet you'll be glad to get the costumes shipped this week.

Wow .....things are really moving right along. It will be departure day before you know it! :woohoo:

Organized. Hmmm, it's just illusion. Although MEK doesn't believe me when I say that.

I TRY but I feel like don't hit the mark most times :rolleyes1 I think it's mostly OCD though and that the outside world must think I'm insane.

Really, what must the TSA think when they open my bags and see that I've packed in gallon sized ziploc bags with labels that say the name and day? :lmao:

Isn't that picture cool?! I LOVE it!! HM is one of my favorites and I can't wait to ride on Halloween!

Thanks Kathy!! They seem to be better! The antibotic is working!!

We're getting so close now!!

I wrote the teacher a note this morning  I have to go to his class this morning for a field trip so I guess I'll find out later if the teacher is up in arms about us taking him out. Your right though, what are you going to do?! It's only 3 days.

I think I'm going to skip the gorceries and just get stuff at the shop at SSR. We don't need much and I hate to pay $10 for deliever for a $30 order. Seems a bit silly!!! I also think I may pack a few of the dry goods.

It will definitely feel good to have the costumes in the mail!! Of course, it will feel good to have DS's costume made. But not yet, cause it's not done :scared1: That's stasrtingto stress me a tiny bit. I hope I'll have time today after the field trip and housework :rolleyes1

See how happy they are, they're dancing with somberos on and shaking marocas!!! Ya know why?!

:yay::woohoo:party:Cause it's the single digit dance baby!! Oh ya!!!:dance3::cheer2::hyper::dancer:

:cool1::woohoo::yay::banana::thumbsup2 Congratulations on the
Single Digit Dance!
I'm so excited for you!!!!!!

BTW - question - Did you go to Cirque de Soliel on your anniversary trip? I think you did, but I can't remember. I am considering going in May.

10 days!!!

On the groceries I guess it depends on how much you'll need and whether the upcharge at SSR outweighs the delivery charge. I was thrilled with GG last Feb and will be using them again. After I saw what was available at the FW Mercantile I was doubly glad I'd done it.

What we saved on beer alone paid for the delivery charge

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:cool1::banana::cool1::banana: WOOT!!!! YAY FOR SINGLE DIGIT DANCING!!! So excited for you and your family Melissa!!! :cool1::banana::cool1::banana::dance3:

17 days for me! I'm also using Garden Grocer but beer? Do they deliver beer?

We're getting soooo excited!!! It's getting so close and everything is coming together really well! Once the baby shower is over this weekend I'll be home free!!

Yes, we went to Cirque in March. I enjoyed it, DH not so much. It's rather artsy and DH is not an artsy kinda guy!

Also, if anyone in your group has clown issues, skip it! Really. The clowns in the show are a little more bizarre then regular Ringling Brothers clowns and I think they'd be really tramatizing for anyone that has clown issues!

That was the night my feet were killing me from the strappy sandals!!

 Yes, Garden Grocer does deliever beer. But, you have to call them to add it because I believe they have to verify your ID. You can't get it straight through their site!!

SINGLE DIGITS!!! :cool1::cool1: Yee-haw!! :cheer2::cheer2: Woo-hoo!! :yay::yay:

:woohoo:

Guess what?!?!

No, I didn't change any ADR's or anything else :rolleyes1

But, I finished DD Johnny's Sorcerer Mickey costume!!! I'm super happy with the way it came out!!! It was soooo easy once I actually got to the sewing part. Figuring out his measurements and making the pattern from a piece of drafting paper that DH gave me was the bulk of the work!!

He looks soooooooooooooo adorable in it!! He was super happy with it and said he loved it!!

I'm not going to take pictures of it for 2 reasons. 1 is if I take a picture of it on him it will give away all the fun for the TR :rolleyes1 and 2 being that if I take a picture on a hanger it's just going to look like a bunch of red velvet on a hanger.

I changed my original idea a tiny bit while making it. Socerer Mickey's robe is split from the bottom to the waist. I was going to do that but after trying the robe on DS I decided that it might pose a tripping hazard and make it a lot easier for the robe to get caught on something.

That's it for now be back tomorrow with another picture!!

Love the picture of the kids in the sombreros with the maracas-too cute...

8 days-that's like just a week...well almost....:woohoo:

I really want to see the Sorcerer costume too...:confused3...ah well I guess it just builds the anticipation...;)
