Boo Bash Thoughts (never done after hours but have done MNSSHP)

This is also how I would describe the main difference between the two types of events. We go on some rides while at MNSSHP, but we really spend a lot of our time doing party-specific things. If you are looking for an opportunity to go on rides with lower wait times than a normal day, while getting to enjoy the special Halloween atmosphere and "free" treats, then going to the Boo Bash may be a fun event for you. We would miss the parades, special fireworks, and shows and would not be able to eat our money's worth of goodies, so we won't be going during our Oct trip. Hope you have a great time if you decide to go!
This was our thought.

I'm betting bigger crowds than the average afterhours event but nowhere near the crowd size of MNNSHP
We won't know until the events actually happen. If there is demand, I bet they keep selling tickets for each night. It may not be at the average size for MNSSHP, but I suspect it will be much larger than an average afterhours event. Which if true, negates some of the point of the afterhour event.

This is my concern as well.

I think BB's price is wild BUT if I could be guaranteed only x number of tickets would be sold, I'd be more interested.

OP: it sounds like an event that really could be great for your family - if I were in your shoes, I would strongly consider.

Hi! After discussing it last night we are considering it. Given we have onsite, we can purchase next Tuesday. The good news is there is a dis show Tuesday so I am not horribly concerned waiting a few hours to gather info and opinions before we make the purchase that night. Much like other commentors here and elsewhere, if we had confirmation of it being an after hours event with limited tickets more so than MNSSHP we would have no hesitations. Our other big draw is we actually have a park reservation for MK that day, so knowing we can go back to the hotel at noonish, get some pool time and food, shower and head back is a huge draw, We probably wont stay the entire time if we get there at 7 (especially since the next day is a try for ROTR boarding group day haha) we think it would be worth it-especially given the free drinks and ice cream and popcorn! Thankfully we still have a few more days to fully decide but id say we are 75% leaning towards doing it
