Onsite at Universal 11/21

Checked out of the Hyatt at 7:30, stopped for breakfast, and checked into the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal at 8:15. My room wasn't ready of course, so after a look around I headed to IOA. "Head of the Line" with my room key wasn't really necessary as the lines were non existent, but I found that by using that benefit the walks were shorter to the actual ride. So whether I needed it or not I took it. After a week of theme parks my feet could use all the help they could get. I went to Seuss Land and rode the cat in the hat ride. That ride brings back memories of that book and reading it with my son (decades ago). I then went to Dr Dooms Fearfall and Spiderman. I debated about whether I should go on Blutos Barges but decided to put a quarter in and spray someone else instead. I did decide to break out the poncho for Dudley Do Rights Ride. But I have to say I didn't even see that last drop cause I had my eyes closed the whole way down and my hood pulled tight. Since I had a wet poncho I might as well go on Jurassic Park. Had my choice of rows so I went for the front row. I skipped through the rest of the park. I've seen the shows before and they didn't really impress me. Stopped again at Suess land and went on One fish, two fish. I had alread tossed my poncho but didn't get too wet. I took another ride on Dr Doom and Spiderman. But I forgot to pick up 3D glasses for my ride on Spiderman. Actually I was distracted by the very attentive CM who was checking express passes thouroughly and took my attention away from the glasses. In fact 2 other people in my row also neglected to pick up the glasses. I told the CM at the end and she told me to just go around the side to the beginning of the ride and go again (this time with the glasses).
Left the park then to go to the Studios next door. First ride after lunch was ET. I then continued in that direction with Back to the Future and Men in Black. I rode Men in Black twice. That ride is addicting. Over to Jaws where my front of the line really came in handy. At Earthquake the pass was useless because no one ever came to the express pass door to let us in.
I called the hotel at 2:30 to get my room number then went into Twister. My front of the line got me into the Animal Planet Live show before most of the other people that were waiting. My last show was T2 3D. Always loud and exciting.
I then took the boat back to the resort and wandered for awhile looking for my room. Yes, people sitting at the table drinking, I'm lost, wandering aimlessly. Oh wait, I get it now, if your room number starts with a 1 you're in tower 1. At last I found the room. Small, dark but nice. My lowes card bottle of wine is chilling. Nice. I call for my luggage and it arrives shortly. So I'll have a glass or two of wine before heading out for dinner. And just for the record I'm not touching that $7 bottle of Evian water so prominently placed on the dresser.
Headed to City Walk and dinner at Margaritaville. By using my room key I bypassed a 35-50 minutes wait. The girl actually told me 10-15 minutes but my buzzer went off almost immediately. It proved to be a fun place. They had everyone singing and clapping so you hardly had time to eat. After some yummy coconut shrimp and 2 raspberry margaritas I headed back to my room before I forgot what room I was in.

Next: Heading Home and a warning.

We haven't been to Universal and I really want to go back. Thanks for the report:D
