How is the transportation, shuttle at BC compared to renting a vehicle. We have two groups going and renting one vehicle would not be the best. Is there a shuttle and what are the routes and hours etc....

Thanks,

d

IIRC, a separate shuttle goes to/from each of the 4 parks hourly all day and perhaps more frequently in the morning/evening

I was not a fan of it, it packed up very quickly and we usually ended up standing being packed in like sardines. We had a car and just started driving the rest of that stay and subsequent stays.

I would recommend renting two cars. He busses were nice when they were free...now you have to pay five bucks a person.

Kids 3 and under travel free, maybe it's 2,not sure. When we were there last august it was 6 bucks per person and the bus was EMPTY.It used to be packed when it was free, but again, when we used it last and had to pay, there were plenty of seats and a nice ride. There's a schedule at the front desk and You should be able to plan your day around it.Renting a car or cars might give you the freedom to come and go as you please and you might find a deal, but you have to pay parking at each park and no further ahead than taking the shuttle,in fact I think the parking is further back than where the shuttle drops you off.

So, 6 adults would be 36 per day.... now what happens if we go to MK in the am and Epcot at night w a break at BC? 72$ per day? that is a deal breaker for us. :(

In Dec. the shuttle was $6.00 a day - not per trip. You had to buy a ticket for a particular day - not a ticket to use the shuttle any time. Just remember what it will cost to get your party from the airport to Bonnet Creek. You may find that it will be cheaper to rent a van. You only pay once a day for Disney parking and can go to different parks on the same day.
You might also try taking a cab to Caribbean Beach Resort [ which is adjacent to Bonnet Creek] and then catching the Disney transportation. We did this in reverse - some adults wanted to stay late at the parks and just road the buses to Caribbean Beach Resort then we drove over to pick them up as opposed to driving to the park to get them. Another day I was already at Epcot and my granddaughter decided she wanted to join me. One of the adults drove her over to Caribbean Beach and saw her on the bus to Epcot and then called me and I met the bus.
