Have only stayed at a couple timeshares and so I have a couple questions about Bonnet Creek:

do they provide towels by the pool?
do they provide and replenish toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent and garbage bags in the rooms?

If anyone knows or has any tips for me on what I should or should not bring to bonnet creek I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Pam

We stayed at Bonnet Creek this past September. THey did provide toliet paper and detergent for the first load of laundry. We definitely had to hit a grocery store for basic supplies. Anything they did supply was given in small quantities.
I actually didn't swim but my in-laws did one day and I believe they used the towels from their bathroom and then asked the resort for more. There wasnt' any housekeeking since we were booked as a timeshare but we were able to request more towels. I wouldn't pack anything with all the luggage fees these days. I would suggest stopping at a grocery store when you get there and picking up soap, etc...

Thanks so much for the info, kind of what I figured. It looks like a really
nice place, hopefully it lives up to the pictures.

All Wyndham resorts provide pool towels. I've gotten them 4 ways:

--- they give you a large beach towel for each member of the family and you may trade it in for a fresh one anytime but they'll charge if they're not returned at check-out (this is usually a beachfront location where past guests have left them out on the beach)

--- an extra set of large towels in a different solid color or stripes is left in each bathroom, for the max occupancy of the unit and again, they may be swapped for fresh ones anytime

--- they're stacked on shelves in an activity room or recreation building

--- they're on carts near the pools

IIRC, at Bonnet Creek, they're on carts near the pools. No matter what, they're provided and you won't need to bring or pack any.

I am also going but now until Jan. I called the other day about similar questions.

Bonnet creek said they provide everything but food. However, like the previous poster said, it appears in small quantities but you can ask to be re-stocked. However, time is $ in disney and I don't feel like standing at the front desk every other day.

They have the following
Dish / Dishwasher soap
coffee filter
paper products,
laundry detergent etc.

We are going for 10 days so I will probably ask for one re-stock but I will definately pick up some stuff

I just returned from 13 glorious nights at BC. They provide all of the things you mentioned. I had brought my own little bottles of ALL detergent that I found at Target, but you can get all the Tide you want by stopping by the front desk. Our room had plenty of garbage bags, coffee filters, etc. Towels are by the pool. If you stay a week, you receive a "Trash and Tidy" around day 4, I believe, and if you stay longer, you get a full clean, new sheets, towels, etc, around day 7. You may need to call and remind them to schedule, these, though. It is a beautiful resort, and the location absolutely made me us feel like we were "on property". The Caribbean Beach Resort is right beside it, and you can see their rooftops from the resort. I would definitely stay here again!

Thanks for your post. Can't wait to go. Do they actually change the beds for you etc. or just drop off clean stuff? When you say trash and tidy can you be more specific. Do they actually wipe down the counters etc? Did you tip? Do you know they were coming?
Thanks
Wendy

We stayed 9 nights, and there was no service to the room ... no "trash and tidy" as you mentioned, and definitely no new sheets, etc. We didn't expect it tough, so I didn't want anyone to have false expectations.

To the previous poster, there are pool towels at both pools. All the condo towels are white, and the large pool towels are blue-striped. There is a bin that holds all the towels, and a return basket. There were always plenty available.

As for the "freebies" they leave ... they did have small Bath & Body Works toiletries in the bathrooms. You would definitely need more than the starters ... so bring your own shampoos and the likes. We had more than enough dishwasher soap, hand dish soap, and 2 boxes of Tide. If you like Dryer sheets, you'll have to bring your own. In the kitchen, there was a small basket with 1 packet of cofee, 1 packet of decaf coffee, 2 packets of hot chocolate, 2 packets of sugar, and a bag of microwave popcorn. If you like to drink coffee, or in my case hot tea (I am Canadian :rotfl: ), you'll have to bring your own. I also prefer sweetener, so you would have to bring your own of that as well.

I really liked our stay at BC. My DD8 LOVED the lazy river. That being said, when we stayed at Cypress Pointe (which was not nearly as nice), the did come by and clean at least every other day, and definitely restocked the sample supplies. I don't expect that from a condo stay ... so make sure not to expect it at Bonnet Creek either. If they do, consider it a bonus. ;)

Cypress Pointe or Cypress Pointe Grande Villas (pHase 2 - tall buildings)?

Cypress Pointe, but it was the September just after Katrina. I think they were desperate to give everyone a good impression. ;)

I was slightly surprised that Bonnet Creek didn't send someone to freshen the room after 7 days, but I didn't ask for it either :confused3 There is a vacuum in the condo closet.

I was told at check-in that we would receive these services, but, like you said, I wasn't told when. So I called the front desk (or housekeeping, I can't remember) and they immediately gave me dates for both the "trash & tidy" and the full clean. The t&t was just emptying of garbage cans, providing clean towels (and putting them where they go), clean dish rags, new supplies if we needed them of Tide, dish soap, etc. We were actually in the room when the housekeeper did the t&t. The full clean was at day 8, maybe, and she changed the sheets, towels, wiped down the counters (which I had cleared off in advance), etc. They even hosed down our patio (we had been feeding a duck family, and they had been leaving us little "presents" on our first floor patio!). Oh, yes, and we did tip. A few dollars for the t&t and I think $10 for the full clean.

I definitely got the impression that if I hadn't of called, the services might not have happened. So...call during your stay just to see when they are coming!

I used vacationupgrades.com and the owner was great to work with!

Ah - that was when the units were in transition between what is now known as the failed 2001 piecemeal unit upgrade and the 2004-5 full unit renovation that gutted the units and rebuilt them (next scheduled round in 2010-11 for all units at Cypress Pointe Resort). Sounds like you got one of the rooms that hadn't been redone. They were clean and functional but had no pizazz and were completely changed by the renovation work. Now I would rate the units at CPR actually better than Bonnet Creek, although both are very high end. Both also have excellent locations with CPR having many more services within walking distance while BC has Disney as its surroundings.

Cypress Pointe Grande Villas are still using the original 1994 design and, again, are clean and meet basic needs but offer nothing to compare to newer resorts like BC. They also are due for a major renovation but I'm not sure about the time frame for the work.

All three are great resorts and anyone would be happy to stay at any of them.

Does anyone know what "flavor" of Bath & Body they have in the bathrooms? And will they send up more coffee if you request it?

I can answer the Bath & Body Works question. We don't have that store in Canada, so I took our samples home ;) It's "True Blue Spa," but they are very small sizes (little tubes).

I can't help with the coffee, but I tried to purchase tea bags and they didn't have any in either their gift shop/snack store or their grilled food place that sells Starbucks coffee. I had to make a trip to the grocery store for those.

We stayed at the Bonnett Creek in April and loved it!! We had requested a upper floor room that we could see Epcots fireworks from....Obviously not as good as the "right in the park experience" but great for those nights when we were back early because of a tired little one. Our only issue was the wait for the scheduled bus service. :rolleyes1

As for laundry soap, I just brought a small ziplock (1 for each day) filled with the correct amount of detergent for each load. I don't remember the dishwasher soap being a small sample. It wasn't large, but plenty big enough for several loads.

We had ordered food from Garden Grocer and was very happy. We called ahead and granted permission for them to enter the room to put away the food. When we arrived, we walked into a fully stocked kitchen with nothing to do but hit the parks!!! :yay:

OH no setsail please tell me about the bus system...we are going July 18-Aug1 and my dh insists on using the buses as he does not want to drive. I have a ressie just incase I can convince him...so please help me:rotfl2:
