If you had to pick for a week in sept would you choose bonnett creek or reunion?

Haven't been to either but we chose bonnet creek for our upcoming stay because of the proximity to the parks

Reunion is great, the water parks are awesome! Takes about 10 minutes to the parks.

Stayed at Reunion in April in a 3 bed/3bath condo. Units and amenities were great. Each "neighborhood" has a pool then there is the big water park area. Just be aware that not all units in Reunion have access to the waterpark. We rented through RCI so our unit included 8 passes per day but I have been looking on VRBO and waterpark access seems to be rare. It was a 15-20 minute trip from our condo to the parking lots at the parks
