My family (myself, DH, DD7, DS5) stayed in a 2 bedroom deluxe for 10 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future. I am going to review our entire process.
1. We book via Vacation Strategy. I was very happy with the service they provided and have absolutely no complaints. Every question I had was answered and every concern addressed. They had the best price and I would use them again and recommend them to anyone looking to book at WBCR.
2. We paid $1196 for 10 nights, 2 bedroom deluxe. Stayed June 2-12. We did not make any room requests. We got Tower 5, 11th floor parking lot view. We could not see the fireworks but could see Downtown Disney. It was fine for us.
3. Check-in was easy. I did get a little pressure to attend a presentation. The lady made it seem mandatory but when I asked directly if it was mandatory she said no and I declined. I am not sure that we needed a parking pass. We parked in the garage most nights and we did not need anything special to get into the garage.
4. The resort is well kept and beautiful. It was very quiet. In the entire 10 nights we only saw someone on our floor one time. We never heard noise from other rooms. The elevators were fast.
5. We did not have trouble with parking. There was always parking in the garage if needed and It was very confident to Tower 5.
6. The pools/lazy river were nice. I don't think they were as nice as some of the moderate and deluxe Disney resorts but they were great. Never over crowded. The height requirement on the pirate ship slide was silly to me. It was really slow and did not even end into a pool. Neither of my children could do it and I personally thought the height requirement was excessive. But we only swam in the resort pools a few times so no big deal.
6. Our room was well stocked as far as kitchen, linens etc. Each bathroom had standard hotel soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. There were four packets of laundry detergent. Also two (I think) dishwasher packets, microwave popcorn, paper towels, etc.
7. On the seventh day we did unexpectedly receive "housekeeping". I guess I am not too disappointed since I wasn't expecting g anything but they only changed linens on the master bed. Seriously that is all. It was like they gave up after that. There were clean sheets left for the extra bedroom but they did not changed them. They did not sweep, vacuum wipe down furniture or do any other housekeeping. Maybe it is just a general restocking visit? However since they changed sheets and made the bed in the master I was confused.
9. Location, location, location. It was perfect. So close to everything (we drove). Paying $15 to park wasn't a big deal, we just figured it in ahead of time.
8. A few cons...these are VERY minor but...the vending machines were terrible. $3 for a soda and every time I went everything was sold out. It was a little frustrating but honestly minor. I did miss the Disney magic. I didn't think it would matter but I realized I enjoyed being immersed in Disney. At WBCR we felt isolated. At times it was great. It just depends on your personal preference. We did not use the shuttle but I don't think I would have liked to pay for it because we usually went back and forth from resort to parks at least three times a day. That would get expensive.
Overall I am VERY happy with our stay here. The room was spacious and clean. I loved being able to do laundry in my room each night and not having to pack so much. I didn't mind the "domestic" duties but my husband is great to help so that makes it easier. My entire family loved the resort. We would definitely stay here again. I will answer any questions that I can.
