bonnet creek tips

We are spending a week at bonnet creek in early march and was wondering if anyone has tips as to which buildings or locations to request. We are going as a guest of a friend who is an owner. We have a baby and a 3 year old.

I appreciate any advice! The other threads are too long for me to sort through.....

Do NOT agree to anything at the "Parking Pass" desk. Anything they ask you to do -- presentation, tour, survey -- ends up being a very high-pressure timeshare sales session. In fact, you don't need the parking pass at all, so you could skip that silliness altogether.

Same situation if they come to your room with "welcome gifts." They will not leave until you either buy or agree to go through a presentation.

Wyndham timeshare sales personnel are among the sleaziest in a sleazy industry -- and this is from a HAPPY Wyndham owner.

If you want to buy Wyndham, you can do so on eBay and many other sources for literally pennies.

We just returned from our fifth stay this past Dec. Had a fantastic time. In our opinion it is a great bargain in an awesome location. Save time to enjoy the resort as our kids love all the pools. Our only negative, the golf is starting to show wear and could stand for an update. Walking around in the evening is beautiful. We were in tower 5, room 1180. Parking lot view but perfect view of the fireworks and the room had been refurbed. I don't believe you can request a specific room or building, although I could be wrong. My advice, be extra nice at checkin, can't hurt. I mentioned we'd love to see fireworks and the kind lady smiled and said let me see what can be done. The view was PERFECT!!! We picked up our parking pass and left in a second. Was never asked anything. Have a great trip, you picked a great place.

Here is a tip... you don't actually need a parking pass. We've stayed there before and didn't have one the whole time we were parked. No trouble.

This is great advice. You used to be able to make a request for a location at WBC, but that was stopped a couple of years ago. However, we have also found "nice at checkin" may work well. It depends on the staff person on duty, and of course it also depends on availability. But generally, nice people try to help other nice people.

In doing checkin requests, it's a good idea to limit your requests to the one or two things that are the most important to you. If you give them a long list, you're certain to be disappointed with most things on the list and it's impossible for them to figure out what's really important to your family.
