Bonnet Creek is actually a Fairfield Resort. It is the next turn after the turn to Carribean Beach, so it is accessed from within the 'confines' of Disney property. The piece of land it is built on was a 'holdout' from back in the 60's when Walt was buying up land anonomously. I think the owner was Asian and he vowed to never sell to Walt. Years later Fairfield got the property, but it couldn't get an access ramp off of the I-4. So Fairfield and Disney reached an agreement whereby the resort would access off of Disney property. Somewhere on the boards is an aerial shot that shows the chunk of land bordered on 3 sides by Disney and the 4 th side by the interstate.
Bonnet Creek is a very nice timeshare resort, only two buildings of about 6 complete. I toured it in May and the furnishings and sizes of the 1 bedrooms were very nice indeed. If one had a car, access to all the parks would be about the same as CB...you can see CB from the Bonnet Creek unit balconies.Bonnet Creek isn't served by Disney transportation system and staying there doesn't qualify as a Disney resort for EMH. But if I were to stay offproperty, this would be my first choice because it 'feels' like it is on property when you try to get to any of the parks.
