Are there any bad locations? We will be there in a week and I've been reading bunches but it seems like everything is close to something. We will have our boys ages 9, 14 and 16. The 14 year old has a chronic illness and will probably be in a wheelchair and resting some days. So easy access for him and proximity to good stuff for the 9 year old is what we are looking for.

Generally, WBC does not accept requests. And, yes, everything is close to something. It's a very compact resort.

People will call a view good for different reasons. Unfortunately, the only ones that can get pre-assigned rooms are the top level timeshare owners. The benefit does not pass down to people they rent to or for other family members. All 6 buildings are close to something. Depending on how many people are checking in at the same time, you may be able to talk to them for their suggestion of a view. We asked when we arrived and the lady asked what we were looking for. We had no clue. She looked through the system, found a desirable room, and assigned it to us. Off we go to the room, open the door, and there is a family in it already. They were as startled as we were but all was smooth since we only opened the door. We all laughed. I called to the front desk, got the same lady, and told her the situation. She quickly scanned the system for another room that is ready to be occupied. She sent us to a higher floor room, almost same view, and bell services met as at the room with keys. At first, I thought the view was horrible. About 10-12 floors down was the dumpster, parking garage, and parking lot. Well, that all changed the first night. Sitting having a drink on the balcony, huge blasts made me jump. We were watching Epcot fireworks and shortly after, MK fireworks.

The only advice I can offer is the earlier you get there the better the chance of getting a better view. The less busy it is the more accommodating they can be. If the line is 50 people deep, the time they spend with you is very limited as they try to manage the cattle call. When I got there, I was the only one in line so they had time to look.

I've heard some people ask for a fireworks view and that is usually facing the parking lot. I always asked for a waterview/poolview. I have always been given building 5 that overlooks one of the lazy rivers, but I was able to see some of the fireworks too but not a full view of them. I would HOPE that if you mention that at check-in, they will take it into consideration. In fact, it may not be a bad idea to call WBC now, and add your request to your reservation. So when you get there, they can try to accommodate your requests. Good luck and I hope you have a WONDERFUL time!!!!

We usually arrive between 8am and 9am. They confirm our check-in info and see what is AVAILABLE at that time, and what they are expecting to become available later when guests check-out. Bottom line, the EARLIER the better!!!! I have a co-worker who had no idea guests were allowed to check-in BEFORE the check-in time. She thought EVERYBODY waited until 4pm!!! We were talking about it at work one day and she was shocked to hear that I check-in at 9am!!! So last year, she did the same thing and was SHOCKED that her requested room area was so EASY to get. She said she NEVER had ANY of her requests honored before and now she knows that early check-in has benefits!!! Anyway, good luck and I hope you have a WONDERFUL time!!!!

Over the years I found I did better not making requests. N the past, I made requests and never got them. Lol. When we arrived they asked. We said possibly a lake view. We got a perfect one bedroom in building 5 overlooking the lake. BC is such a nice resort. Not too many bad locations.

We just stayed in bldg 5 with our 9, 13, & 14 year olds. The kids absolutely loved the lazy river at that bldg. They spent hours in it. There is also a good bar/restaurant right next door at bldg 4 as well as a regular pool. We weren't sure what to ask for either. I just asked for a pool view but got a parking lot view. It was fine. I think bldgs 1 & 2 have no pools outside their door but are close to the main pool & the bldg 3 pool/water slide. My kids didn't like the pirate slide at all (bldg 6) and only went on the other one a couple times. But as I said, they spent hours in the lazy river. Also, I would not want to be on the 1st or 2nd floor as they seemed to have no privacy at all. For example, some of their patios were basically sitting in the mini-golf course! Have fun!
