Bonnet Creek questions

I have a couple of questions for anybody who has visited Bonnet Creek recently.

I called and was told that there are ethernet cables in the units, but I thought I read on here somewhere that they were not in the units. I'd like to know so I can bring one with my if I need to do so.

Secondly, they told me that there is a safe in the unit. Can anybody give me an idea how big it is? A lot of the places that I've stayed had safes that would hold my laptop, but the desk clerk said that she didn't know about that. All she knew was that it was in the master bedroom.

We arrive on Christmas Day and will be there a week. I got a great deal on ebay for a 2BR for $90 a night, so we're excited.

I called and put in my requests (building 1 or 2, upper floors, with firework/lakeview), and they made note of them. I called again yesterday (when I first called, the girl told me to follow up a week or two before we left), and everything was showing up just fine.

You got a great deal. We are renting at $100 per night for 2 bedroom (two weekends involved) so I think we did pretty well too. Hoping for the same location as you. Take pictures!!!! Would definately call back 2 weeks before with your room request again and take names of who you spoke with.

I'm at Bonnet Creek now, and we LOVE this place!

When I checked in, they had me in the system but had neglected to assign me a room. I couldn't help but think that things were NOT starting off well!

They weren't able to put me in Bldg. 1 or 2, but they gave me a choice of lakeview or fireworks view in a different building. I took fireworks, and they put us in Building 5. The views are great, and we watch the fireworks twice a night from our balcony - Magic Kingdom and Epcot. I'll try to post some pictures when I get back.

While I'm perfectly satisfied with Bldg. 5, 4 might have been better (I don't think you would have the view of the parking garage ).

The unit itself is gorgeous, roomy, (2BR/2BA) and comfortable. While there is a lot of construction going on, we have not heard any of it in the condo. The lake isn't particularly attractive right now due to the construction.

The safe is in the master BR and measures about 15"x14"x3.5". Other buildings might be different. My laptop would have fit in it (I didn't bring it just in case it didn't though). I haven't seen an ethernet cable in the room, but you might could get one from the front desk.

One thing that is different here than other places I have stayed is that they provide plenty of supplies. There's enough dishwasher detergent for every day. There are several extra rolls of toilet paper, and there were several boxes of laundry detergent (and you can get more from the front desk when you need it).

I have NO complaints and plan to be a repeat customer!


ETA: I'll add a couple more comments (we got home tonight).

The internet did not function well while we were there. They have a computer room with 4 computers, but it was close to useless, and I saw others come down with their laptops yesterday complaining about the lack of service. I wasn't able to print off my boarding pass and had to wait until I got to the airport (Air Tran's curbside check-in took care of that very easily).

There was live music at the pool each night and lots of activities for kids.

The beds in the 2nd bedroom are okay but a little bit too firm (IMO). The bed in the master bedroom was much better.
