Bonnet creek in January - worth the extra $?

I've been looking at different offsite options for Bonnet creek in January. The highlight seems to be the pools, which may be too cold to use. Windsor Hills offers accommodation for $200 less for 7 nights. I know it is further away from the parks. Is Bonnet Creek worth the extra money in January?

This would be a simple judgement call on your part. What would you do with the extra $200 is you stayed at WH? BC is much closer to the parks but once you get in a car does 10 more minutes of driving really make that much of a difference? I have stayed at BC 7 times but never at WH. I think BC can not be eat for the convenience of being right in the Disney bubble and so close to everything that Disney offers in the area. I think BC heats the pools but whether or not it would be warm enough for your family is your call. If you live in the far North you will be happy - those from the South will consider the water too cold. In January with the shorter park hours being closer may be important.

BC is a resort while Windsor Hill is a townhouse in a complex. BC will have more activities and things to do. It depends on what you like. We didn't like Windsor Hills as we'd rather be at a resort.

How much are you being quoted for each?

All the pools at BC besides the pirate ship pool are heated. We have stayed twice just before Christmas and swam.

BC location is PRIME! Just stayed there a few weeks ago and I would pick it in a heartbeat.

We have stayed at both. Bonnet Creek has the resort feel. Towers seem more like a hotel. There are activities at both. We were worried we wouldn't like Windsor Hills, but we really did. It has more of a home feel. We occasionally saw our neighbors. One time we had a condo and one time a house. I would weigh the price rather than distance. BC is so close, but WH took us no time to get to the parks.
