Bonnet Creek for government employees

They also have a link on there for veterans, and the guy I called said *any* veteran qualified :)

Tracy, please let us know if they charge you any extra fees once you are there, I'm always a little nervous when they have "you are responsible for any additional fees and taxes" verbage....but it look like an awesome deal!

Military link is:
http://www.afvclub.com/ Pretty much the same deals but for military.

Just call Bonnet Creek. They are pretty familiar with these deals and will be able to tell you what, if anything, will be added to that price.

I did call and was told no fees the only thing they want is a 100.00 deposit at check in case of damage to the unit. I will let you know I hope there is no more fees. I already paid taxes when I reserved the unit. 2 bedroom one week 389.00 with taxes lets hope they are no more fees.

We've never been charged extra fees at any resort when using AFVC. We've had to put a CC down in case of damage, but we've never been charged with anything.

My husband is a Veteran. Do you know what type of proof they require to use this program? He is not active or retired military.

wow, really good deals- tempting!. im curious too...many providers will accept a copy of DD214 (discharge papers) or evidence of belonging to a military association (VFW, American Legion, etc.)popcorn::

I didn't ask what they require (since I'm not booking anything at this time, we already have Pop with free dining for our trip in a month), but I imagine they would want a DD214 or similar. If we use this in the future then I will call BC before buying the week just to make sure on ID/taxes/fees :)

I work for an Ontario Agency and booked with no problem. I asked what sort of ID I required at check in and all I need was photo ID, not even my Government ID was required. Let's hope that's correct but I asked repeatedly.

I'd bring along your gov't ID just in case. I've forgtten my ID before and have had issues when I didn't expect any.

Tracy, did you call and request the 2 bdrm, I've only seen the 1bdrm posted as available and have been looking for awhile. Thanks

no the two bedroom was posted as available. I am going in November not sure what month you are looking for but they just went on sales for 299.00 for the week one and two bedrooms you have to book it before may 22 to get the sales.

The $299 runs out May 20th? Can you get your deposit back if you end up cancelling? I don't if I can make a true decision that quickly but don't want to miss out on the price. :confused3

I know through the Armed Forces section of this, the May Blow-out deal is nonrefundable and you have to pay 100% up front.

I've bookmarked this page. Our trip is not until January 2014 but if getravelop has a week available at the WBC then I'll be thrilled! When would be a good time to start checking?
