For those who have stayed at Bonnet Creek....Can you "check in" earlier than the official check in time (even if room won't be ready till later)? Can you do like disney resorts and leave bags, go to parks to play and then get room assignment later in day? We're arriving there on Saturday July 19 :cool1: and want to be prepared for what to expect.

Thanks,
Kat

We checked in at lunch time and were given our room immediately.

Not sure what their policy is on holding bags, but there are lockers/changerooms for the pool complex.

When did you go to Bonnet Creek? During low-season? We are going in early August and checking-in during "Prime" season. Supposedly, VIP timeshare owners can check-in "early", between 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Non-VIP guests are supposed to check-in after 4:00pm. So, I'm wondering, what's the use of having VIP, if ANYONE can check-in early. I would imagine that this is only allowed during low-season, when many rooms are available.

what's the use of having VIP,
The point of the VIP check in time is that your room is supposed to be ready no later than 2. It could be ready earlier. Anyone else should have their room no later than 4, but again it could be earlier.

We rented in April. I think the owner I rented from had VIP status ... I wasn't aware of the politics of the transaction. Sorry if I mislead anyone. :rolleyes1

We were told by the BC staff that it is not a problem to hold your bags if your room is not ready.

Thanks for the replies. I'm just going to try to check in when we get there and if they turn us away till later...we'll just go play till we can check back in.

Not to hijack this thread, but it may keep me from starting another one -

I am curious what those of you that have stayed at BC thought of it? Nice, okay, terrible....i'll take the good, bad, and ugly.

Also, what about the shuttle service? Did you use it to the park, or drive? Was it convenient?

We are staying there in Oct. THe only other time we have been to WDW was 3/05, and we stayed on property at All Star Music.

Any thoughts are much appreciated.

Hi, staying there in Jan. Would suggest you go back a few pages/do a search. There have been several very recent threads about how everyone really likes this place. You will get a lot of info.
The shuttle service was also recently posted as well as pictures of the resort from a renter.

We stayed there for 5 nights in April. We checked in early (noon) but the room was not ready. They don't give you the room number until you actually have the key in hand.
This is a beautiful resort closest to Disney property but not Disney prices. The rooms are spacious and comfy. I have stayed in both a 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom unit and they were both superior quality. Depending on what tower you are in will determine your closeness to the min. golf and pools. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. We never used the shuttle because we had a rental car. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. When all the construction is done, it is going to be a beautiful complex.
