Any opinions on this Downtown Disney restaurant?

Yes. Don't go.

Much better dining available nearby in DTD. We've been once. Never again. Bland food. Not spiced at all. Service terrible - slow, unattentive, and unconcerned with any customer service. Music playing too loud to talk across a tiny table for two. Seriously, it was the single worst dining experience we have had at WDW, and we will not be going back.

If you must try it, I suggest the walk-up window for a quick bite. It is cheaper, prepped quickly, and you don't have to deal with any servers. We will still hit the window, in a pinch, but not going back for a sit down meal.

I am going to give it a try in January. It's not on the dining plan, so doesn't get the reviews that other restaurants do. I also believe that they don't take ADR's, which makes them even more appealing to me.

I've read good reviews on Bongos and since I like Cuban food, and don't have it around here in central Wisconsin, I can't wait.

I went back on 2004. The food was good when we finally got it. The service was the worst of our trip. The servers were very unattentive, they spent most of the time huddled together chatting with one another while our drinks sat empty and we waited forever for everything. This was 5 years ago, so maybe it's better now,

We enjoy Bongos. We like the music and atmosphere. We agree that table service is poor - and staff is unattentive. Now, we stop in and sit at the bar for a drink or two and appetizers, which we enjoy. We like Cuban food and can get good Cuban food in Philly, but this was one of our first stops on our very first trip, so we have fond memories. If worst comes to worst, have a mojito to go and walk around DTD! It can be a lot of fun!

Well . . . I won't go again, but one of my friends LOVES it! I thought the food and the service were just okay. DH had a dead fly in his drink . . . which totally grossed me out. Like I said, though, my friend loves it and eats there everytime she goes to Disney.

You should try it, though . . . maybe you'll love it!
